Help! My Shark Professional Rotator vacuum cleaner Model No. 400 won’t stay “on” unless I physically hold the on/off button down while trying to vacuum. The machine is working PERFECTLY FINE aside from this issue. When I unplug the machine and take the red plastic button cover off the on/off switch I can tell the button actually does click on/off. But when it’s plugged in the button doesn’t stay in on position without my help

Shark vacs are not made with a very high quality standard. They also don't have a parts department. They are disposable vacuum cleaners. Before you spend too much time and money on Shark, go see what your local vac shop has to offer. You will be surprised at the quality difference at essentially the same price.

My Shark Lift Away Deluxe NV360 brush rotates when I start to lower the unit but when I lower to full vacuuming position it quits.

Take it to your local vac shop. There is a safety switch that is prone to failure. They can bypass it.

How do I access the roller brush on my shark navigator in NV26

There are a lot of screws and typically the top cover comes off. I wouldn't recommend taking it apart. Take it to your local vac shop for assistance.

How do I remove the roller/belt on a shark navigator vacumn cleaner?

Take it to your local vac shop. They can service your machine and repair the problem. Bagless cleaners need to be serviced annually at the very least.

I've tried everything I could think of to clean the brush on my Shark Navigator Freestyle, but the brush stops spinning still. What else should I do to try and solve this problem?

I do not have that particular model in front of me, but here is a likely problem. It could be the brush bearings/ bushings are clogged with dirt or hair, or even rust. If you can remove the brush and the bearings/bushings ( which are the parts that hold the spinning brush), see if they work freely in your hand. If one end or the other is bound up, it is clogged with something. If you cannot remove the bearings/bushings from the machine, you might try some drops of a penetrating oil into those bearings/bushings to see if they will "free up". I personally use a product called "P B Blaster", which, although it has a strong smell, is one of the best penetrating oils on the market. NOTE: After re-reading your letter, I am wondering if the belt is the problem. Although it has a "lifetime" guarantee, that might only mean it will be replaced by the company for free should it fail. If it is worn out, it could slip, causing this problem. God bless your efforts.
