Hp 7500a "The following ink cartridges appear to be missing or damaged"

I figured out the problem with my printer. If none of your ink cartridges are detected (missing) then follow the install steps below. 1. Turn on printer 2. After printer declares cartridges missing open the printer and remove the cartridges (advise putting a piece of paper under the cartridges to catch any ink that spills). 3. Turn off the printer (keep the top of the printer open) 4. Turn on the printer (still with the top of the printer open) 5. After the printer declares the cartridges missing again install the cartridges (while the printer is powered on). Close the top of the printer. 6. The printer should begin to cycle the ink into the printer and back out to the ink reservoirs. 7. After the ink cycle the printer should display genuine ink cartridges are installed 8. Make sure paper is in the tray so the printer can perform an alignment. 9. Everything should be ok after that. Chad

HP Officejet Pro L7780 Service Station Assembly Replacement? NOT SOLVED

Raja Ahkter is definitely a AI Bot. There was an answer from him earlier for a Washing machine where here suggested checking the 'Compressor', (thinks it is a fridge) and then a bit further on in the same answer suggested also checking the Inlet and Exhaust valves (thinks it is a car)! I delete his answers, but the bot picks them back up and answers again. You contact the sender of an answer by clicking Comment under their Answer. My HP Officejet Pro L7780 faxes off & on. Motor is running w/in ADF, but the pick assembly does not grab paper

There should be a textured seperator pad, if that's worn out, replace it. Also check the ADF rollers should not be smooth. You may need to just replaced the ADF maintenance kit. It should include the roller assembly and seperator pad.

I can't print Legal-Landscape documents

Re-install the software for your printer. Download the drivers from the HP website and use the most current drivers for your product. Also, check disk needs to be run on your unit to verify there are not other issues with your OS(Operating System). Given the types of codes you have provided, it looks like you are running a Windows OS. To run the check disk option, press and hold down the Windows Insignia key +S. This will bring up the Windows search option. Type "command prompt" and there should be a secondary window that shows you the results of your search. Look for the Command Prompt option and right-click the option and select "Run as Administrator" by highlighting the option and then left clicking your mouse. A black window will come up with a variation of,"C:\Windows\System32\"; at this prompt you will see a blinking line\cursor. Type "chkdsk /r" then press enter. A report will come back stating that chkdsk cannot be run on "mounted" volume. Do you want chkdsk to run the next time the computer is restarted? Y\N Press Y then enter. Close the command prompt window and restart your PC. *WHEN IT RESTARTS, IT WILL TELL YOU TO SKIP CHECK DISK WITHIN X AMT OF SECONDS... DON'T TOUCH ANYTHING!!!* Once it has completed, it will boot into Windows normally and if there are any issues, it will tell you during the scanning process. Hope this helps. If not, then bring up google.com and download and run this: Downloads AdwCleaner ToolsLib This may also help.

Feeder won't pull paper

the arm in the printer is a cog setting you may have inadvertently knocked it out of alignment, it has free movement on a pivot and spring but when the printer uses it, it pushes on the mechanism to grip the paper and the roller at the bottom freeds it though, sometimes using to thick paper can do the samething. you would need to open up the device and locate the mechanisms, and make sure there is noting in the way of the controller's, i've seen a tiny piece of silver rapper make the same problem.

We have an HP L7780 and have problems rec. faxes - error 232

Hate to say it, but it means "Don't buy HP printers". You'll be a whole lot happier with Canon or Epson. I had no end of trouble with more than HP all-in-one. They just get flaky after awhile, and the software (particularly scanning) is terrible.

HP L7780 error on printing.

Uninstall completely all of the software that came with unit and then reinstall it. And HP customer service sucks - they will only help you out during the warranty period of their product.

BLOCKED CALLS

If you subscribe to a caller ID service through your phone provider, you can block
specific fax numbers so the device does not print faxes received from those numbers.
When an incoming fax call is received, the device compares the number to the list of
junk fax numbers to determine if the call should be blocked. If the number matches a
number in the blocked fax numbers list, the fax is not printed.
Set the junk fax mode
By default, Block Junk Fax mode is turned On. If you do not subscribe to a caller ID
service through your phone provider, or do not want to use this feature, you can turn
off this setting.
To set the junk fax mode
▲ Some models have a Block Junk Fax button. Depending on the model you have,
do one of the following:
Block Junk Fax button: Press the Junk Fax Blocker button, select the Block
Junk Fax option, and then select On or Off.
Color display menu: Press Setup, select Basic Fax Menu, select Junk Fax
Blocker Setup, select Block Junk Fax, and then select On or Off.
Add numbers to the junk fax list
There are two ways to add a number to your junk list. You can select numbers from
your caller ID history, or you can enter new numbers. The numbers in your junk list are
blocked if Block Junk Fax mode is set to On.

Printer will not print blue, prints pink instead

Blue is made from magenta (pink) and cyan ( sky blue), if your blues are coming out pink then they are missing the cyan component. In your machine this could be caused by a blockage in the printhead, the cyan cartridge being empty, an electronics fault, a boma pump fault (the squishy black thing on the base of the cartridge). Check your cartridge first - if it feels lighter than the other it is probably empty. Sometimes there is a fault where the entire contents of a cartridge (usually the cyan) can be emptied in a matter of days or less. If the cartridge is unusually empty compared to the other colours - refer it to HP.

When making copies, only a part of the document prints; the rest is solid black.

Solid black in a copy typically means that the scanner is partially blocked. Open the top, where you'd place a sheet to be copied, and examine the small strip that runs down the side (left, most likely). See if it's clear, or if something is covering part of it. Most copiers don't use the full size scanning plate for copies, but use a strip that scans the paper as it moves across it. If something blocks part of it, you get the black area.

Officejet pro l7780 not printing

OfficeJet 7880 Not Printing A little more information would have been helpful in troubleshooting this problem. Did the printer ever work correctly? Did it just start printing yellow lines one day? Has it been out of use for a long time or, did you buy it in this condition. Also, is your computer a Windows PC or a Mac and which version of the OS are you using? If you don\'t have the manual, you need to download one. I saw a link in a previous post or you can go to HP.com. The manual is crap as far as troubleshooting but it has all the part numbers of ink cartridges and printheads. From the skimpy info you have supplied, I am going to assume there is something wrong in the ink supply system. 1. First you need to print a test page to find out if anything other than yellow can get to the paper. Find the HP Printer Utility. Again, not knowing what computer and OS you are using, I can\'t give you any explicit info. On Windows you might find something in Control Panels>Printer or under Programs you might find the HP Printer Utility. On a Mac maybe System Preferences>Printers or Go>Applications>HP Control Center. 2. If it only prints yellow boxes, or yellow boxes with streaks, you can run the Clean Printheads utility and reprint the test page. If you get more yellow or other colors start to show up, this indicates there\'s something wrong in the whole ink supply chain. The HP 7xxx printers use the CYMK color system and have separate ink cartridges for each color: cyan, yellow, magenta, and black(K). In addition, the printheads are separate from the ink cartridges: yellow/black printhead and cyan/magenta printhead. 3. The problem could be in the ink cartridges or the printheads, or both. If the printer has been sitting for a long time, the ink will gel and clog up the whole system. Check the ink cartridges first. Are all four of them installed? Are they HP brand? Take them out one at a time, shake them and the reinstall them. Print another test page. Did anything change? 4. If more colors are printing, even with streaks, you should probably replace all the cartridges with GENUINE HP cartridges that are not expired. This could cost you $50-$60 on an eBay purchase but if you buy non-HP, or expired cartridges, you will not be a happy camper, long term. If you want to do this on the cheap, buy a black cartridge and see if you can at least start printing text. If you\'re making progress, you can buy the color cartridges later. 5. If replacing the cartridges fixed the problem, you\'re home relatively "free". If you have to replace either or both of the printheads, this can be expensive. They can run from $50-$100 each, so you\'ll have to make a decision on how much you want to spend on a printer that sold for $175 at Costco 6-7 years ago. Don\'t get me wrong, this is one of HP\'s better print engines but you will have to make an economic decision based on how much it\'s going to cost to bring this printer back to life. You can probably pick up a used 7xxx printer on Craigslist for $50-$75. Hope this helps.
