you are having a conflict with one of the devices in the computer that you have installed. when did you start having this issue, what did you do before you installed to keyboard, is this a new motherboard or i do not think it could be IRQ issue but you have two devices that are trying to use the same IRQ address and that is complex and do make any since in this day and age of computers, you may want to try another keyboard or go to intel forum post the issue on there site and maybe they will have an idea what else is going on.

personally,i wouldn't install windows 7 on that computer. i've done that with a pentium 4 machine in the past, and it doesn't really run windows 7 all that well, even with 4 gb of ram. it does sound like your video card may be dying, though. or, it could be a virus, not entirely sure. that computer supports pci-express video cards, but it's so old i really wouldn't spend any more money on it. i upgraded a private school's entire school system with the machines in the link here, and they've been working fine - http://www.newegg.com/product/product.aspx?item=n82e16883265705

Are you allowing Windows 7 to connect to the Internet to download a device-driver? Or, if you run "Windows Update", does it recommend a "hardware" update for the device?

Any "plug-and-play" device with a USB interface should be supported by Windows XP/Vista/7/8. Try it!

If its a built in card, try getting the mainboard model number off the board and find it that way.
