I have not seen this model in Australia, but normally if you hold down "Start/Stop" button for 3 to 5 seconds, that should clear the cycle.
Otherwise if you have a Clear button press that for 3-5 seconds.

Cut off power to unit. Cut off water. Take front kick plate off. Remove incoming water line from old valve. Squeeze the clamp on the outlet side of the valve and move it up the line. Remove outlet water line. Take old valve off frame. Unhook wires from old valve. Take new valve and reverse the steps to install.

I need more info but it sounds like the main contact or board relay is stuck or short together sound the unit is always powered.
