Windows XP Pro logon issue
There should be a product key on the bottom. As long as there is you can just download a copy of XP from digitalriver.com and use that key. Burn the iso file downloaded on to a disc and boot to the disc and follow the prompts to install XP.
How do you reseat ram
Push the little clips on the sides away from the ram and the ram should pop up to about a 45 deg angle. now it will easily come out.
Reverse to re-install (re-seat). Gently seat the ram contacts in position at an angle before pushing it down flat to lock in place with little clips.
Only goes in one way! Blow a little clean air in the socket to clear any dust or fibers first.
Dell Latitude d620
how can i unlocked my laptop latitude D620 i forgot my password. now i cant get in it
I turn on laptop and only a white screen is
A white screen usually indicates a problem with the video harness connecting the motherboard to the LCD screen, or it can be a problem with the LCD screen being defective itself.
You could try to reseat the video harness and see if that helps, as sometimes the connection has just become loose.
If the video works fine (whether in the BIOS/ Safe Mode) on the external monitor then I would not see the video card as being faulty. As you said the graphics seemed "weird" however on the monitor, then try reinstalling the drivers and see if that helps with that issue.
If you cannot access the BIOS on your laptop, then it seems likely that either your video harness is faulty (you said the connection was not loose), or the LCD itself is defective. LCDs are expensive to replace, so I'd suggest ruling out other possibilities first.
Boot
Hello,Usually this issue is caused by a defective lamp ballast, hope this helps.
