For error code 0122, Don't play the movie or load your movie program until you have the resolution you want and have it set to display only on the hdtv . You do this by going to control panel, selecting "adjust common used mobility settings", and then clicking on "connect display. A pop-up will come up and give you the option to display only on the external display. Pick that. The thing that sucks is if you have the display set to 1920 x 1080, you can't see everything on your desktop when trying to view it on the tv.

Sounds like the problem is either the LCD itself or the connection from the circuit board to the LCD. The light comes on, so power is available. The internals of the TV are all solid state (on a circuit board). Because of this, I would not attempt a repair unless you are familiar with electronics and soldering. There could be many problems. I would see about getting an estimate from a local TV repair person and see if they will tell you what exactly is wrong. Also, I would unplug it and open it up to see if there are any loose connections...however, be careful because if there are any capacitors in the circuit, you can get shocked. While inside, look for loose connections or burnt/discolored components or wires. This will give you an idea of the problem. Probably easier and cheaper to **** it up and buy a new one, but you never know...

If the remote is not working at all, I would simply suggest buying a universal remote. It will be far less hassle in the longrun and is designed to be programmed for several devices. Acer seems to be a decently reliable brand, but they still make cheap products...

Easiest way to go about this is to go to your local store and look on the back of the universal remote packages. The manufactuer will list all of the brands that their remote is designed to work with. Find Acer, and your problem is solved. Another option is to call Acer and see if you can order a new remote. The customer service number should be on their website.

switch on/off may work for a while - the problem is the power board: costs aprox. 150,-$...can be changed easily (if you have some expirience).

Well sounds like a Horizontal PSU problem... a component is or has gone faulty.. causing incorrect voltages to be generated.. thus the problem.. shouldn't be too hard to fix..It may be also an IC.. any TV repairman worth his salt should have no probs fixing it fairly easily.

I have exactly the same problem, my unit has been sent to the service centre 3 times already and they still haven't fixed it. It appears to be a main board issue. I will send it back again for servicing and will NOT take it back unless the main board is replaced.

As Bob Myers mentions, the question can't be answered unless you explain which video output the camera has. The solution for a BNC CCTV camera would not be the same for a PoE IP camera. Provide that information, and we can suggest hardware that would connect your TV sets and project to the camera feed.
