How do I access the drain pump?
Normally this is found if you trace the drain hose backwards. It is important to look below the washer to find the valve.

Not pumping out water
I have had the same problems many times with this washer. It is usually something that has made its way into the pump inlet located below the tub. You will need to disconnect the water lines and the power, tip the washer back and access three 8mm screws on the bottom panel located across the front of the bottom panel. You will then see numerous hoses connected with spring clamps. Remove all the spring clamps and disconnect all the hoses. You will have quite a bit of water dump out, but this is normal. Look inside all the hoses to see if there is a blockage. Also feel around inside the openings of a clear plastic container located at the back of the washer. I have found socks jammed inside completely blocking the water flow. In one opening you will see a small white ball...this is normal as it is a check valve and needs to remain in the container to ensure proper operation. If you have not found any blockages in any of the openings, you will need to remove the impeller from the pump motor. As you look at the bottom of your washer, it is located on the right side halfway between the front and the back with two short hoses attached to the plastic container previously mentioned. Remove the two small clips holding the impeller to the motor and you will be able to pull it down. Insert your finger into the opening and ensure the blades inside rotate freely. I have also found a penny stuck inside the impeller in the past that has not allowed the impeller to turn. After removing any obstructions, replace the impeller and reconnect all hoses securely. Hopefully this will fix your drain problems. I have had this washer since 2003 and I have had to follow this procedure nearly once a year. Hope this helps!

Calypso stains load
Hi thereI wonder why "dark streaks" on white towels. I presume that you have made sure that there is no dirt flying around in the machine.Try to let the machine go a circle -without any washing in it- just to see if the water takes color. There are also in the shops washing powderthat remove stains of different types. Also powder for "only whites"good luckKolbrun

Water leaking from bottom
It is so common that the drain leaks in many ways and is the most problematic fault in a washing machine. In all occasions it is important that your observation is most important and so is vital to the identification /rectification and solution. If you have noticed that water has leaked then as the drain hose pump/valve and fittings are located on the underside of the machine it is important that you look for possible leaks here. In some cases the drain hose would be clogged at the drain end to outlet of the house and so there will be back flushing resulting in overflow to the outside. Also the drain pump/valve can be clogged or the drain hose clamps can be loose on the grip which can all cause the leak to occur. Removing and cleaning the drain pump/valve, tightening of the hose is also very important. Also water can leak if there are gaps on the front door gaskets and must be checked but this will happen only during the cycle and not on the drain cycle end.

We got the LD error
Hi
An LD
error indicates long drain time which means that there is either something
stuck/clogged in the pump or the pump itself has gone bad and should be
replaced. You can take it apart completely and check for impeller damage or
clogs. You have to clean it completely so make sure that you have lot of towels
ready as there will be water coming out of it when you clean the pump. Hope this helps...please post
back for further assistance.

The problem is whirlpool washing mashin it has very high vibration
Hi.Please go through the following check list:Check that the load is evenly distributed.Check that the machine is well balanced.Check that the floor under the machine is even.If that does not fix the problem, there is usually a fault. Parts to inspect are bearing and shaft under the basked, struts and mounts.

My Whirlpool Calypso Washer, model#GVW9959KQ2,
Hello.
The Whirlpool Super Capacity Plus washing machine offers alarge capacity drum, temperature control monitoring, two-speed motor, fivewash-and-spin combinations, 10 total wash cycles, three wash temperatures, anda quiet-wash feature. The washer should function well if standard care andmaintenance is followed, but issues may occasionally occur. One such problem isif the washing machine is noisy and does not spin during use. While this mayrequire professional repair, individuals can attempt troubleshooting beforecontacting Whirlpool repair technicians for help.
Steps to follow.
1Stop the washing machine and open the lid. Take items out if the load isvery large, or move items around the washer if things have become tangled orbunched together.
2 Look for objects that mayhave gotten caught between the inner and outer tub. Turn off the washingmachine and use a pair of pliers to pull the object free.
3 Push the basket into themiddle of the unit if it seems to be off balance. This can occur duringoperation or while loading items into the drum.
4 Examine the feet on thewashing machine. All four feet should touch the floor; adjust the feet if theyare uneven.
5 Close the lid on the washingmachine and verify that it latches shut; the washer may malfunction or not spinif the washer lid is open.
6 If troubleshooting does notwork, contact a Whirlpool repair technician for assistance, as the lid switch, motor, pump belt or pulley may be broken and require professional repair.
Thanks.

I get an Ld display.
Hello & Welcome to FixYa
Ld means long drain and is displayed when it takes longer than 5
minutes to pump out the water to a point where the pressure switch resets. To
solve this problem make sure that the drain filter pump assembly located inside
the bottom front panel is clean and after cleaning if the error returns then
the pressure switch needs to be tested and if bad then it needs replacement. The cost will depend on parts and will be around $150. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.

Washing and draining at the same time
Not exactly a solution but I will share my experience.Ihv an apt. size washer and when i hooked up and tried to use at first, it was draining while was trying to fill for wash or rinse cycle. My problem was that the drain hose where it comes out of the washer was not in an upright enough position and therefore there must be some type of sensor.so maybe u shld ensure your drain hose is in fact going UPward and out to drain water. I hope helps. good luck

You are able to select
Possible that the error seems to be with the water flow check the inlet valve for failure or there is dirt in the filter. Also check the flow at the inlet of the water line. Once the water comes into the system the WATER LEVEL SENSOR - normally a pressure switch- must activate at the preset/chosen level to give the signal to the program controller to switch on the motor. What is most important for the motor to start functioning is that the door switch must be ON when the door is shut or this will be an error for starting the motor for rinse and wash.
Check this link to replace the inlet valve:http://www.espares.co.uk/advice/washing-machines/a/7/1408/how-to-replace-the-inlet-valve-on-a-washer-dr.html

Washer won't do spin cycle....and
Hello & Welcome to FixYa
When the washer fills but does not agitate or spin
then you can check if the lid switch is fine. You can jump start the lid switch
by connecting both the wires with each other or use the third wire to act as
jumper between the two. After this if the problem is solved then replacing lid
switch is recommended repair. Please get back to me if you have any other
questions.

The touch screen stopped working this morning.
Re: the touch screen stopped working this morning. Can't do anything. Is there a reset button for the computer?
No there is not. If the touch screen is blank and you know that you have power at the outlet, then the computer module has been fried and will need to be replaced.
Possible reasons for a computer module going bad are most commonly due to power surges.
If you plug in an outlet surge suppressor then plug your computerized washer and dryer into it, that will save you BIG $$$ over time.
