How do you register a 4th handset to a KX-tg5673
Some Panasonic cordless phones come with up to five handsets each will need to be properly adjusted. You may need to set the main handset to synchronize with the base unit plugged into the telephone wall jack and assign special configuration numbers to the other handsets in order to properly identify each one within a specified location. One handset left in the turned on mode may make it impossible to place calls with the any of the other handsets. This will continue until either the battery dies or fails on the handset or the phone is switched off and replaced in its charger for charging again. Synchronize the main handset by pressing the MENU button on the handset, then pressing the down button IN order to select the number you wish to assign to that handset. Repeating this process if you have already done so will greatly decrease the level of errors experienced with panasonic phones MORE USEFUL INFORMATION FOR ALL YOUR ELECTRONICS
When troubleshooting these units, there are always several variables to consider. First check to see what last occurred with the unit such as did the children play video games, did the electricity go out due to bad weather. You may see that there are many possibilities but let's focus on what occurred last to the unit. Once we determine what happened last, we may isolate the actual cause of the problem. The actual cause may be associated with projection issues, older versions (Picture tube), interference from devices located nearby, and even a radio turned on and located really close to your unit. This is normally known as electromagnetic interference to electronics and is very common with the error you have provided today. Please continue to look for anything EXTERNAL to the unit before looking at the internal components. I have been working on these a long time so feel free to follow up with me.

Display on one of 3
If it still works then the display is dead.
If not have you tried replacing the batteries and charging them ?

I have a three-phone system & there is no dial
Hello, Eileen.
Disconnect the power and line from all three phones. Wait 10 minutes. Then, connect one at a time. If the first one works, go to the next until you find the problem phone. If the first one doesn't work, disconnect it again and connect the 2nd phone.
Hope this helps.

Panasonic phone system, won't release the phone line
You might try removing the battery pack and see if that resets the phone. If not, you probably have a component inside the phone that has failed.
On most cordless phones, it is not cost effective to have them repaired.

Ring tone changed tonight--it is too loud and awful.
The Ringer ID, Light Up ID, Picture ID and Custom
Ringer settings cannot be assigned via the software, nor backed up,
restored or transferred to another handset.
3. The USB connection cannot be plugged in while
the phone is being charged - it is also physically impossible to do so.
Kind of dumb given the USB connection sucks a lot of battery power.
4. In fact the USB should plug in to the
base/charger so the phone is instantly connected (like a PDA) once
docked, with two-way synchronisation. This is not as important though,
as #2 above.
5. It is possible (as I learnt the hard way) to
inadvertently wipe out the existing phone book and all its hard fed
Ringer ID, Light Up ID, Picture ID and Custom Ringer settings merely by
attempting to add new entries thru the software without first
retrieving the existing entries from the phone. On the positive side,
re-sending the same entries does not overwrite the already set up
Ringer ID, Light Up ID, Picture ID and Custom Ringer settings.
