I have a Whirlpool RBD305PDQ8.

Up there in the controls is a bullet fuse like this:
themobilian_1084.jpg
Designed to kill power to the controls if it gets too hot in there so the controls won't be harmed. That could be it but I don't know if it would beep if the fuse is blown, that could be a bad control. Use this manual to help you diagnose:

Have Whirlpool model RPD306PDB15.

FIRST THING IS CHECK YOUR BREAKER TO MAKE SURE YOU ARE GETTING A FULL 220 VOLTS,,,, THEN TAKE THE UNIT OUT OF THE WALL AND CHECK THE VOLTS WHERE THE WIRES HOOK ON THE TERMINAL BLOCK,,( MAKE SURE THE POWER IS OFF WHILE YOU TAKE THE UNIT OUT, THEN WHEN IT IS OUT AND YOU MAKE SURE THE WIRES ARE NOT PULLED REAL TIGHT, THEN TAKE THE PANEL OFF TO GET TO THE TERMINAL BLOCK, THEN TURN THE POWER BACK ON TO CHECK THE VOLTS),, IF YOU ARE GETTING THE FULL 220 VOLTS THEN IT IS LIKLEY THE TOUCH PAD HAS WENT OUT,, I HAVE SEEN ALOT OF THESE BUT MOST WERE JUST NOT GEETING ENOUGHT POWER,, IT RUNS ON 220 VOLTS 110 TO POWER THE ELEMNTS AND LIGHT AND 110 TO POWER THE ELECTRONICS

Hi - I have a

it could be the following
Taking a Quick Look
The E1 F2 error message indicates the control board thinks the touch panel has been unplugged from the board or it cannot read the switches.
How it Works
The panels on these ovens utilizes a switching matrix to constantly monitor all the buttons for a key press. By using a matrix for switch input, many buttons can be read by the processor using very few wires. The unfortunate side of a switch matrix is if any one wire becomes damaged, an entire row of switches on the matrix will no longer be usable since they cannot be seen by the control board.

advise
getting a qualified engineer to check this touch panel and suspect touch panel maybe defective and need replacing.

I hope this was helpful

I have a double electric Whirlpool oven and it

I think Whirlpool and Jen Air use the same display board, It's worth a check anyway.

BrianGem posted a great solution back in May of '08, I just completed that fix on my own Jenn air, took me about 30 minutes once I got the correct capacitor.
The display board apparently has a weak spot in the
design, most likely heat related, (probably low priced components from offshore sources)
Fix: Replace heat damaged capacitor labeled C3 on display board, Hard part will be obtaining the 35Volt 68uF capacitor, I'm lucky enough to have a Brother in the electronics design field who found me a couple of high reliability caps designed for hot applications, He does not recommend changing sizes without design review for fear of overloading another component, however several other posts have indicated that a 35V 100mF cap has worked fine for them.

TURN OFF POWER TO OVEN PRIOR TO STARTING ANY REPAIRS.
My control panel was attached to the oven with 4 screws accessed from above the top oven door, the panel slid up about 1/2 " and lifted off, Unplug the ribbon cables and the panel can be removed to a convenient work surface. The display board itself is mounted with 4 screws and connected with a wide flat ribbon cable, the suspect capacitor is surface mounted to the reverse side of the board, two plastic clips need to be released (gently) and the ribbon cable unplugged. Capacitor is likely discolored or leaking, Using as small a soldering iron as you can find De-solder it and replace with new, match polarity marks and don’t use any more solder than needed.
If you run into trouble drop me an e-mail to [email protected] and I’ll try to help.
Good luck.

I opened the door before the self cleaning cycle

You have most likely caused one or more fuse relays to blow.
The self-clean operation can not be interrupted before the cycle is complete without causing issues.
There is the main fuse inside the control panel and 2 fuse relays on rear of the oven.
In order to access these fuses you must open the door, then remove the mounting screws to remove the oven from its cabinet..
Use a wire coat hanger bent into a "U" shape on one end.
The door latch is in the center of the door on the top oven.
Slide the bent wire coat hanger between the door and the oven opening.
The "U" of the coat hanger will be right center of the door latch.
Slowly pull the "U" to the left until it catches the latch.
Then pull steady and forcefully to pull the latch mechanism to the left while putting pressure on the door to open it.
Once the door is open you can begin to access the parts for diagnosis and repair.

What is the need for an inner glass door on an

Hello,

The glass door of an oven, it to protect the heart generated from the heater that i.e the element snd also protect food during and after cooking from jams and bacterial penetrate going to the food and also protect children from putting there hard in the oven.

However, it first function is to protect the heat generated by heat provider (element)
the internal glass of an oven is more stronger then the external glass if you make use of the oven with out the internal glass the room is at high risk! why? because the external glass does not have the strength to with hold the heat generated by the element.

PLEASE NOTE:Do not make use of the oven with out the internal glass no matter the level of the how urgent you want to make use of the oven remember SAFETY FIRST.

Thank you and thanks for using fixya.

Our Whirlpool oven started beeping

F2-E1 - Touch Pad (Keypad) Cable Unplugged -
Check the connection between the touch pad (keypad) and control board (clock) to make sure it is secure.
Select the 'cancel' function and wait 60 seconds.
If error code reappears then replace the touch pad, or touch pad and control board (clock) if all one assembly.

It appears your timer/clock has failed in this instance.

For replacement parts - head on over to PartSelect.com or RepairClinic.com and enter in your full model number for a full parts listing.
I recommend both sites because ...

FixYa has no affiliation with either site - I have been using and recommending them for years - trouble free.

PartSelect has a great schematic database for locating the part on your unit and great "testimonials" for each part that often times includes HOW-TO information.
RepairClinic has pictures of each part they sell and also a great how-to and troubleshooting for basic repairs.

If your unit has never been serviced - there should still be an original service manual enclosed in plastic taped to the inside of the shell.
In the service manual are Error codes, maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting steps you can follow.

Anything too complicated or beyond your scope should be handled by a professional.

If you think you want to tackle the repair - and have gotten stuck on a step - reply to your question and I will be glad to help you out.

Thanks for using FixYa - a 4 THUMBS rating is appreciated for answering your FREE question.!@#@!
