    I purchase the Whirlpool electric

Hello, Thank You for using FixYa. I will be helping you today.I would recommend paying for a service call to have a tech take the door apart for you. There are four pieces of glass in the door and lots of screws. It really is a pain to take doors apart we as techs get this call all the time. Believe me you will thank me you paid someone to do it. If it were easy i would tell you. Most people take them apart then end up paying because they cant put it back together.
Thank You and please rate my answer if it was helpful..

    Keypad does not show anything.

Ovens run on a 220 Volt circuit. That is two 110 Volt wires in reality, one from each side of the main. If one line is tripped only part of the oven will work. Check the Main for a tripped circuit. The range breaker should have a metal bar or pin connecting both halves of the breaker. If not it can trip on one side only. If you installed the "pig tail" yourself, turn off the main oven breaker and double check your connections. Black on each side (one may be red) and white wire in the middle. Neutral ground wire to metal plate of fixture.

If the power connections are correct and your panel still does not work it will probably need replacing. Do not open the access panel if it is under warranty (breaking a warranty seal will void the warranty) or you are not qualified to work on the wiring. It is better to call a tech without opening it. If you have opened it and then call a tech it will probably cost much more to fix as they will have to check ALL the circuits to be sure you have not damaged it.

Since it is a wall mounted unit be sure to check the wire for adequate slack and that it does not get crushed when the oven is installed. Metal Flex conduit is recommended (and may required in your area) between the wall supply box and the oven to protect the wire from shorting or damage.

Caution - 220 Volts can easily kill a person.

No heat! Lights work, timer etc - everything

Probably your heating element has failed, dependant on appliance the element can be found in the oven itself at the back behind a panel that normally has a couple of screws holding the panel in place. reasonably easy to fit yourself and not very costly.

    Hope this helps

Does an electric oven need curing before I cook in

you can run it at 350 for like a half hour or so and you'll smell a funny smell from the metal heating up,when i replace an ignitor or an element i run it for like 10 minutes just to burn off the smell of the metal.i'm sure the factory already had that fired up to check it but i would start it and burn anything off of it that might be in there before i cooked anything,it can't hurt it.good luck with your new machine.

    I HAVE A WHIRLPOOL DOUBLE

    Hi Pwaldo,

If you're experiencing error E6 F2 it might caused by faulty control board or control panel. Here are some ways to check this error, you can just assemble the control panel back or just unplug and replug the keypad ribbon. You could also try to do the following steps below for additional troubleshooting.

    1. Disconnect the Oven from the power outlet ( remove the power from the oven ).

    2. Please open the control panel then unplug the key pad ribbon from the control board.

    3. Now assemble the control panel back then plug the oven to the power outlet then try powering it on.
--> please wait for few hours and observe the machine.

    4. If you still have the same problem like the error E6 F2, you need to replace the control board.
    - you may try to search on this part number for the control board AP3595759.

--> If you noticed that error did not show up, you need to replace the control panel ( the keypad comes as a control panel assembly ).
    - please try to search for this part number for the control panel AP3131755.

    - you may also contact the manufacturer to consult the part numbers.

    Hope it may helps.

    Error code F3 after self

F3 means that the oven temperature sensor has a open circuit. Check connection from sensor to the control board. If connection is good, replace oven temperature sensor. Hopefully the wires are long enough, then you can unscrew oven sensor and pull the connector thru hole to check connection and to replace. If its not long enough, you will have to remove oven from wall to check
