Most of these camper units I've worked on have only 1 style of t-stat to use. Replace it with the same as what you have if possible. And check all connections to and from the t-stat. A blank screen doesn't mean the t-stat is at fault. Should have power at the stat as well as the control board.
If all appears OK, no noise, good cooling suggest check thermostat. If the thermostat is allowing the compressor to short cycle, restart under load the breaker would be expected to blow do to overloading the compressor.
There is usually a 5 minute time delay in the thermostat that prevents this.
I believe it is supposed to have a 15. Remember, breakers are installed TO PROTECT THE WIRE, NOT THE EQUIPMENT. If a breaker is tripping you just don't put a bigger breaker. The wire must be the correct size for the breaker. Take it to the manufacture. If you need further help, reach me via phone at https://www.6ya.com/expert/thomas_092728000e6acb79
Most common problem with any refrigerator not cooling is a clogged radiator. Can you access it and vacuum it with power disconnected? Clicking may be obstruction hitting fan blade as it turns. Hope this helps.
That is normal. Typically a unit doesn't maintain the exact Set point temp. If set for 75 it cools to 74 and doesn't restart until 76. Obviously if getting too much higher than that there is a problem. Units also are programmed with maximum and minimum run times as well as how many times it can cycle per hour. Hope this helps!
