HI. This code alert is a strong indication of door switch mechanism failure. The device is not responding to the lock/unlock command. Check to see if the door switch is completely closed. Check latch,
solenoid,
and actuation switch for electrical or mechanical
malfunction.
You will need to obtain a ohm meter for this test. Follow the procedure below to assist with the testing phase. replace the door switch if it fails the electrical test.
Before repairs or further testing can begin you must disconnect the electricity at the fuse panel, at the circuit breaker panel, or by pulling the plug. Make sure the power is off before proceeding. After gaining access to the door latch switch, Set the latch to the "clean" position and test for circuit continuity at the terminals of the switch with your VOM's ohmmeter function. If there is no continuity, the switch is faulty. Use caution when testing.
- Additionally, check the wires for a tight fit at the door switch, and to the control board. In some cases, the code will appear if the wires have become separated, or slightly worn.
