A 5 min run time tells me that it is overheating. Probably a dirty evaporator coil, or a loss of airflow due to blower issues. Or even a high temp safety that is opening prematurely? Tstat is calling for heat so its doing its job. It could be overheating or a fault at any of the components in the furnace. 90 percent of the time its a dirty blower wheel, EV. coil, or a missing filter that's so dirty its cutting off the airflow. Some blowers shut off depending on the system. Do you have electric hest strips inside? If not the blower will shut off. The outdoor fan should not be running if in defrost mode. There will be a box that the unit gets power from, either up on the roof or on the side of the home, the fuse or circuit breaker will be in there.

Yes, all manufactures are using the dreaded X13 ECM motor. If you can get a tech to do so replace it with a single speed motor and add a relay
