Crane Frog EE-3191 1 Gallon Humidifier - Answered Questions & Fixed issues
I NEED A REPLACEMENT FAN MOTOR. ANY INFO ON SPECIFIC CONTACTS TO PURCHASE MOTOR/
In the model number... I'm not sure of the fx and ms, but the 80 and 25 is a standard 80mm case fan that is 25mm thick. I tried a standard .2amp case fan that I had on hand and the circuit board did not like that..it got hot. I got on ebay and looked at dozens of 12v 80mm fans until I found one that was 0.09amps. That was as close as I was able to find without much more looking. The fan works very well although not quite as much airflow as the new crane humidifier that I put next to it but it doesn't overheat and does the job for about 7 bucks.

Our frog humiidifier is making
Ours is doing the exact same thing. We have the Frog and the Duck - no issues with the Duck, only the Frog. I contacted Crane and they said unless I have the original receipt AND a proof of purchase, I can't get a replacement or have it fixed for free. However, I can pay them $25 and send it back them at my expense and they will send me a new one. Or they will send me a coupon for $10 off purchasing a new one online. It's not a great deal and I'm not that enthused about the fact that I'm going to have to buy it twice, but it's all they would offer. I've had it 7 months so there's no way I still have the receipt.

Do you sell replacement parts. Top fell and
You can get them from the Crane Website: http://shop.crane-usa.com/products/category/1779.0.1.1.563.79630.0.0.0?pp=8&pg=3
But the bottom unit of mine is no longer working and I could send the top part to you instead of throwing the whole thing out.

Anyone know where i can
I have an elephant humidifier with a broken fan. I just posted the problem, but I doubt there is a solution. I'm sure the tanks are interchangeable from looking at the manual, if you don't mind an elephant (I don't know if the lid is interchangeable). I would hate to throw it out and have one more thing in the landfill. Maybe I could send it to you?

For some reason after 2 uses it has decided to
stop pushing the moisture up? I feel you may have shorted out the unit. ultrasonic humidifiers differ from old humidifiers that relied on a motor and a little rod that sticks in to stir and disperse water droplets. (the old ones were designed to get wet).. Now they are little small vibrating disks and a fan to break down water molecules. the unit is designed to get the moisture into the room. but if it starts to **** the moisture back into it's self from the fan in the bottom. then no good can come. I messed up my first one from not knowing to keep moisture out of the bottom. but a good return policy does wonders! :)

There is a product called CLR (calcium, lime, rust) that will do the job well. It is available at almost all hardware and grocery stores. Be sure to rinse the reservoir well before use. If you use distilled water, you will not get the build up. Hope this helps:)
