My asko t721 dryer is

Hello, welcome to FixYa.

Based on your description I`d direct you to first check the hi-temp cut out at the back...if you haven`t already.

It will look like this on the Asko dryers...

7995fe6.jpg

If you push this to reset and the unit works, great. I would keep an eye on it though since the hi-limit typically trips for a reason such as a excessive long vent or flex vent being used ( stay away from flex venting ) plugged lint filter, plugged vent ot partially plugged etc.

If it doesn`t run after-wards or it`s not tripped, you`ll need to investigate further...if necessary.

Keep me posted on your progress or what you find and I'll help in whatever manner I can. Good luck.

Regards,

Macmarkus :)

My T712C Butterfly Condensor dryer

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. To start with check the vent is clean, if still not resolved then it seems that the Thermal fuse that has gone bad. The thermal fuse is mounted to the exhaust duct inside the back cover panel. When this fuse goes bad it should be replaced as it cannot be repaired. You can test it for continuity between its two pins, no continuity means bad fuse. If this is fine then you'll need to check the thermostat, igniter and coils. Please accept the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.

Thanks

Where is the heater located

Hello,

Are you familiar with the location of the heater hi-limit for the Asko dryer ? If so, that is the location of the heater assembly, under that housing at the back panel of the unit.

**Turn off the power or unplug the unit from the wall before performing any service**.

If not, make access to the rear of the unit possible, slide it out or whatever the case may be in your situation. You`ll see the back panel has screws all around the perimeter, but also an alongated round cover with screws around it`s perimeter as well. The heater is enclosed in this housing as is the hi-limit reset-able thermostat ( covered by a round black button like rubber cover ).

**If your dryer isn`t heating, check the hi-limit first by pushing in the middle of it`s black rubber cover before dis-assembling your dryer too far.**

Hope this answer`s your question and help`s move you forward. If so please rate this info accordingly.

Thank`s for visiting "fixya" today for your repair inquiries and good luck.

Will not dry after 2 hours

Hello. Actually this is not a ventless dryer, there is a vent hose whic typically comes with the appliance. If the appliance is not vented out-of-doors it should at least be vented into the room. Pull the dryer out from the wall so you can inspect the rear of it and you will see the vent hole. If need be, go to any hardware store and purchase a dryer vent kit.
Here is a clip from the Asko T712 literature.
Easy to install Simply plug it into an electrical socket and connect the ventilation hose provided.

My dryer wont stay hot

Check for a faulty high limit thermostat. It is a small round black device mounted on a metal plate. It is usually mounted to the internal ductwork with two screws. It can be tested for continuity using a multimeter or ohm meter. It should have no continuity. If it has continuity, it is stuck open and is faulty. I am attaching a pic showing a thermal fuse and high limit thermostat for reference. Hope this helps and best wishes.

I need to know if a new Asko Dryer will stack with my old washer

The exterior size hasn't changed and the plug to run the washer is the same so I don't see a problem. A good retailer can check this for you , but I haven't seen any difference in the stacking kits.
