check thermal switch

IF fault code usually for ice maker fan motor. Check in the freezer on left side beside ice maker

use a screwdriver to pull the switch out. Make sure power is off

The section between fridge and freezer supposed to be hot to prevent condensation. Check condensor and make sure it is free of dust

Defrost heater is going to be very close to the evaporator inside the freezer section. Take the evaporator panel off that sometimes has the evaporator fan connected to it. There you will see a dark tube that bends back and forth with wire connections on each end. That is the defrost heater.

it sound as fridge termister should be checked

please check am p on compressor as it can defective or leak in the system

Not knowing how old the unit is, may be a problem to answer. You may have a fan out or it may need a good defrost. Remove and items from the freezer and fresh food section and alow to sit un pluged from power for 24 hours. ( Doors open )

Ice has bad odor and taste.
1• Ice has picked up odor or
flavor from strong food stored
in refrigerator or freezer.
2• Water running to ice maker
has poor taste or odor.
3• Ice not used frequently enough.
4• Cover foods tightly. Discard stale ice. Ice maker will
produce fresh supply.
5• Add filter to water supply line. Consult a water purifying
company.
7• Discard stale ice.

maybe it some sort of losing your freon you may need to refill it again but first do this // 1. check the bottom of your fridge, there is an air intake grill at the bottom, make sure this is clean and free of lint/ dust 2. make sure the thermostat inside is set properly 3. don't overload the freezer section. the cold air for the fridge comes from the freezer, and if you have too much stuff in the freezer, it will stop the air from being able to flow to the refrigerator section 4. Finally, if you're a little bit technically capable, check the back of the refrigerator, for a small 1/8" hose going down the back of it- make sure this line is clear and free of gunk

My Kenmore refrigerator was 14+ years old. It had been slowly losing feon for sometime. When I called a repair man to check it over and possibly recharge it, his response was considering the age of the unit, don't waste the money on repair but buy a new one.
