Trying to use self clean

F5-E1 Door Latch Check LatchF5-E1 or E1-F5 error is a door lock error. If these suggestions don't help, you will need a technician to diagnose and repair the problem.Sometimes when you disconnect power to a range and reconnect it the electronic range control gets confused. That sounds like you have problem with the door latch; you should disconnect power again for 15 seconds and reconnect and see if that helps. Also could try to check tips in THIS LINK.Hope this helps; also keep in mind that your feedback is important and I'll appreciate your time and consideration if you leave some testimonial comment about this answer.Thank you for using Fixya, and have a nice day.

**** the hinge to the broil position. Put a nail or something so the hinge won't pop back in the door when you go to put it back. Once ya have it back in the stove, remove the nail and close the door. If you need further help, reach me via phone at https://www.6ya.com/expert/dan_73bbd84fe1d95b61

A mouse is moving white

just lift the whole assembly from the front it will kind of lift up like the hood of your car.(most models)as far as moving it out from the wall it should have at least a foot or 2 of give slide it straight out from the wall if it is gas be careful not to break the flexible line if electric it should have a big plug like your dryer.

Have a Whirlpool Range Model#

Hi.

The handle was removed by undoing the 4 screws holding the trim and handle. Undo trim first then handle. To re-assemble, do operation in reverse order.

If the glass or the outer frame had came off, there will be more work to do.
I cannot see how bad is the problem. If the glass has slightly moved you can try to put it back in place without removing the door. If the glass is completely out it is better to remove the door releasing hinges and to sit it the whole door on top of a table. If the frame is falling apart the operation may result difficult. You need to strictly observe health and safety.

There are three screws mounted on the door bracket that normally hold the glass in place. In case you have released those screws, place the glass into its holder and get someone to help you holding the glass while you put the screws back in place.

You need to strictly observe health and safety throughout the whole process.

Below the diagram for the oven door. Please click on the picture to enlarge.

Oven element wont shut off.

This is usually caused by a stuck or melted relay on the main control. If you remove the ERC ( main control) you will likely find the relay that controls the oven is burnt or melted. The main control will need to be replaced. But before removing the ERC make sure the button for the oven control is not stuck down, that would indicate the key pad.On some ovens the keypad and main control are seperate parts. Here is a link that should help checking and replacing an oven control.

I have the Whirlpool RF362LXSS.

You should replace with something similar: a mat of glass fibres with aluminium backing. it can be found in DYI shops - it's used to insulate pipes and other hot objects.

Need to get Light bulb out of receptacle in oven,

Just have to turn hard enough CCW. If the bulb breaks you must get the screw end out of the receptacle. I use a pair of needle nose pliers and unscrew the broken end. Good luck.

Looking for replacement burners for Whirlpool

For replacement parts - head on over to PartSelect.com or RepairClinic.com and enter in your full model number for a full parts listing.
I recommend both sites because ...

FixYa has no affiliation with either site - I have been using and recommending them for years - trouble free.

PartSelect has a great schematic database for locating the part on your unit and great "testimonials" for each part that often times includes HOW-TO information.
RepairClinic has pictures of each part they sell and also a great how-to and troubleshooting for basic repairs.

If your unit has never been serviced - there should still be an original service manual enclosed in plastic taped to the inside of the shell.
In the service manual are Error codes, maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting steps you can follow.

Anything too complicated or beyond your scope should be handled by a professional.

If you think you want to tackle the repair - and have gotten stuck on a step - reply to your question and I will be glad to help you out.

Thanks for using FixYa - a 4 THUMBS rating is appreciated for answering your FREE question
