hi sir. the problem is the flex wire of the display on the handset unit and this is common. you have 2 solutions. first change for a new the handset unit. or open the handset, remove the main board, separate slowly the display screen from the main unit. whit a hot air gun, give some hot to the white flex on the main board side(not too much or you can destroy that). and tighten a little with your fingers on the flex and the main board. This should paste the flex.

You need to try Silica Gel Packets to dry out your phone. There was a good article on associatedcontent.com that explains how to dry a wet cell phone, iPods, or any electronics.

You need to place your cell phone in a zip lock bag with Silica Gel Packets. Silica Gel will remove all the moisture from the phone and its components, something air drying will not do!

You might try removing then replacing the battery. After trying everything recommended in the manual this is how I restored normal operation.

It is possible that the mic hole is blocked and the voice do not detect properly to be processed.
clean and check if not the mic might be faulty , use a new one and test as this is inexpensive. if not the preamplifier of the mic or the amplification stages of the mic is faulty.
A good signal test can prove corrrect.

It is possible that your set was stored up and could have resulted in some build up of moisture and crusting on the PCB due to even faulty battery. First of all open one set and check within for cleaning of PCB , check on the display section and see if the cords are intact. clean the display terminals with a clean swap and reset. Check after connecting with the battery for any display. Use a hair dryer for warming up the display area and the PCB. solder suspected joints. Now check for voltage to the display processor , if not voltage is present trace to the main voltage section for any failure of the pedestal voltage to the micro processor and allied circuits. If not there is a possibilty that the display is damaged But I doubt so becasue it cannot happen to all the sets. I hope the set is triggered on but without display in which case you must check on the display unit supply Voltage. So do this one by one and I hope you come to the fault. Good day
