I had 3 Verizon LG VX 5500 and 1 told me the same thing. I just ask a friend for an old phone and then I activate it on the verizon website and no problem... it can't be fixed once is asking you for a GENUINE BATTERY, you need to get another phone. Also you can get the same phone in ebay (used) and activated it yourself.

I've had my enV for about a year, now. within the first month, I cracked its screen. I have both insurance and a warranty for it, but Verizon is unimpressed-- they suggested that I either purchase a new model, or perhaps buy the enV 2. it's whatever.

the software in the phone needs to be reprogramed at a store and they can fix that within maybe 20 minutes. also the phone may have a glitch in the software do to upgrades on the system. if the battery has gotten too warm though it will fry the battery to where the phone wont register it as a good battery. i have never had mine show use genuine battery though. i talked to a friend who works for verizon and she said only technical support at a main brach store can fix that.

well i dont have any long term ansa but here is a short term one while you find a new charger.

Take the charger and dismantle the end that plugs into fone. you should have 2 wires a black & white or black & red. Leave the blobs of solder on the end of the wires as this helps. Leave the wall socket end of charger in tact.

Take your battery out of fone. As with a normal battery you will see a (+) and (-) sign on it. Attach the black or darkest wire to the negative (-) metal square on the battery and the white or lightest wire (maybe red) to the positive (+) metal square on the battery (after trial & error i found a clothes peg to be the best form of attaching it). Leave attached for 15 minutes and this will give you around an hours usage when you put the battery back in the fone. If you leave it overnight then it will be on all day.

Basically you are making the circuit without the fone which bypasses your pin problem. Any charger will work with any fone as the charging components are in the wall end. Just make sure the voltage is compatible ie, 5v fone charger replacing 5v charger etc. Although majority of chargers are 5v.

I know this works cos i did it to mine last nite as i needed to ansa my emails. Really simple but a little drastic like i said but if the pin connector is broke anyway wot you got to lose?? I am a girl so if i can do it anyone can lol!!

Only drawback is you cant use the fone while it is charging unless you have 2 batteries and you use one while the other charges which is what i am doing. In fact i might not buy a new charger lol, i dont need one now ive found this method works.

To answer the question on the unlock solution. Its the last four digits of the cell phone number assigned to the phone. This is correct unless the security code was changed in the settings.

Assuming you're trying to get past the keyguard on the outside screen, simply hit the "Ok" button twice

If you want to turn the keyguard off alltogether, go (using the outside screen, this is a must) to: Ok > Settings&Tools > Keyguard Timer > Always Off > Ok

That should do it.

REMOVE BATTERY > Clean the terminals specially middle terminals of both battery & phone with dry cloth.install battery. If the problem persist then change battery.

Hiya, my wife has the same phone.. everything works and the way to get your mp3's as a ringtone is what I found easier to do like my LG dare.. which is to edit, compress the mp3 file and send it via text attachment from your vzpix account to your phone, from there you can save the attachment and modify it's use on your phone as a ringtone. Aloha!

Turn the phone off. Remove the battery, count to ten and re-install the battery. Turn everything back on. If you really want to know how to reset everything back to original condition, that is more complicated. This should fix most "frozen screen" and app problems.

The charger could be messed up .. and the sensorbetween the charger and the phone is not working , i had this problem and it was my charger not my phone

your flex is broken. it should be replace with a compatible flex connector

Check this with the local service provider or the roaming partner to the network you are enrolled.
