you can save all your contacts to you sim if your sim memory is not full. Follow these steps:

unlock keypad, select "contacts" option from menu then select "copy" option in "contacts". Selecting "copy" will left you with two options : 1. From sim card to phone.
2. From phone to sim card.

Then select "From phone to sim card". It will ask "One by one" or all.

You can select any option and contacts will be copied to your sim card. If its ask for "delete original" or "keep original" , its your choice to keep copy of contacts in sim card or not.

Visit your nearest nokia service center.

I think you need to take it back to the nokia shop, its like the new software installed was not well, or maybe some files missing.

I believe your problem can be solved in the nokia shop.

For you to switch to predictive text or T9, just go to your "Text Message" window, when on that application window please select on your "options" button on your cell phone.

You'll have a pop up with scroll options that would either say 'predictive text', just ok the T9 or "Predictive Text" option and you would be able to have predictive text switched on.

If your phone became disconnected during a firmware update and your phone no longer turns on/fully boots up, then unfortunately your phone is likely "bricked" and will need it to be re-flashed. If that's the case, the best bet is to find and visit a Nokia Care or service center. Do-It-Yourself re-flashing can be done, but requires special cables and software which maybe more cost and trouble than its worth.

Unless you've done this already, before you give up completely try the following:

I have somekind of same problems, but I made a few solutions too:
1. You can open menu if you just press the menu button ONCE and NOTHING ELSE. I think it's caused by memorycard if it's full of stuff.
2. Ok, this may sound kind of weird, but try to blow or **** the microphone. It helped me.

go to profiles ->edit profile->edit ringing style-> switch on the vibrating alert.And it should work,or else contact the nearest Nokia care and make it a point that you use only original Nokia bcuz your money is worth a lot of toil:):)
