Hello, I just installes windows7

Go to Control Panel, Administrative tools, Drive management, Right click on the connected drive and assign a drive letter. Make sure Windows sees this drive as "usable" if you loaded Win 7 NTFS and the XP OS used Fat32 Win 7 has had issues.

MSI K9VGM-V Motherboard problem or maybe the disk-drive?... please help me!

Except in rare cases where you and your friend happen to have computers with the same motherboard (or something really close), exchanging hard drives like this will not work. When windows is installed, it installs the drivers for the computer's specific hardware. If you move the hard drive to a different computer, Windows will try but fail to load because it does not have the drivers it needs. On a friend's computer, go to this site: Microsoft Windows and Office ISO Download Tool follow the instructions and you can download the ISO to burn a copy of your Windows disk. There is a sticker on your computer that will have your original ***********. This *********** will only work with whatever version of Windows came with the computer. Note: If there were important files on your old hard drive, do not use it. An expert can possibly recover your data. Forget about the IDE drives and get another SATA or the speed will drive you crazy. IDE has data transfers at the rate of up to 133MB/s while SATA has data transfers at the rate of up to 6 Gb/s IDE vs SATA From the age of the motherboard, it looks like you probably had Windows XP which is no longer being supported. See bottom link. Have you considered trying something like this: Main Page Linux Mint It can actually be installed and run from a CD or flash drive so you can try it. If your old hard drive is connected and the file system has not been damaged, you can even use this to copy files off before you reuse the hard drive. https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/windowsforbusiness/end-of-xp-support

Can i put 2x2gb of ram in a k9vgm-v motherboard

http://www.msi.com/product/mb/K9VGM-V.htmlUsing the above MSI Support website for your motherboard, I want you to find the answer. Then I want you to come back here, and tell me how you found the answer.EVEN if you are not sure, post what you think the answer should be.Then I will tell you if your answer is right, or not; and why it is, or isn't.!O_O!How weird is this?Once I feel you have the correct answer, and the knowledge of how to find it, then I will have accomplished something that will last for your lifetime, and not just post a solution; and you just take it for granted that I am correct. This way you will know if I am right, or wrong. You can also tell anyone else in the world; what you base your answer on, and the facts to support it.You will be helping yourself, and possibly someone in the future who may need the information from you. This knowledge will also expand on what CPU's (Processors) are supported, and graphics cards. Also time travel..........(NO! You gonna' believe that last one?........Sheesh!)Regards,joecoolvette

It should specs say:• Supports Dual DDR II 533/667/800- 2 DDRII DIMMs (240pin / 1.8V)- Supports a maximum memory size up to 2GB.Most systems will pick up the 4GB, but Windows 32Bit has a 3GB limitation.

What is the best video card that my motherboard K9VGM-V can handle?

http://www.msi.com/product/mb/K9VGM-V.htmlWhite PCI-Express x16 slot above the two shorter white PCI slots.Looking at reviews on the internet, I'm going to say the motherboard came out in 2006.PCI Express 2.0 technology came out in mid January 2007.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PCI_Express#PCI_Express_1.0aMotherboard chipset came out in 2005,http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_VIA_chipsets#AMD_.2F_Intel_processors[Northbridge - VIA K8M890; Southbridge - VIA VT8237A ],leads me to believe it is PCI Express 1.1 technology being used for your motherboard. However you can use a graphics card based on the PCI Express 2.0 technology. Why? Because PCI Express 2.0 is Backward Compatible with PCI-Express 1.1 technology. Will you get the full capability's of a PCI Express graphics card, based on the 2.0 technology? No.Will you notice? Doubt it. What will stop you is the Power Supply. Need at least a 400 Watt PSU.(Power Supply Unit)Graphics Card;http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=41125&Sku=E145-0550Power Supply for a mid-tower to full tower ATX computer case. Also has the necessary power cables needed,http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=899123&Sku=T925-5002For additional questions please post in a Comment.Regards, joecoolvette(Gently pull up on the lock for the PCI Express x16 slot. The 'lever' looks like you should push down)
