My battery icon shows "plugged
When this issue occurs it is generally due to a bad power adapter. Power adapters tend to get hot when plugged in and in use. The actual temp inside the adapter would naturally be even hotter than the outside.
Over time wires inside any component that creates massive heat will simply breakdown. Sometimes they can get hot enough to catch fire.
My suggestion would be to purchase a new power adapter and see if that fixes the problem. You may want to find someone with the same laptop and "borrow" their power adapter to see if that fixes your problems. That way you won't spend any money until your sure.
THANKS! Hope that helps.

Mouse cursor jumping problem, how
A mouse is a vital component of your computer and allows you to control certain functions on the screen. When the mouse is not functioning correctly, it can be frustrating. There are a few different reasons why your mouse pointer may jump on the screen. You need to work through the possible causes and troubleshoot the problems to fix your mouse and get it working properly again.
1. Examine the batteries if you have a wireless mouse and the cursor begins to jump. A low battery may be the cause. Change the batteries and check the mouse again. If it is still experiencing the same problems, proceed to the next steps to resolve the issue.
2. Switch the wireless transmitter to a different USB port on another computer if possible. There could be problems with the port, causing the cursor to jump. This will resolve the problem if the issue is with the USB port. If the mouse is still jumping, move on to the next steps.
3. Click on the "Start" menu in the bottom left corner of the screen. Right-click on the "My Computer" menu and click on "Properties." Click on the "Hardware" menu and click on "Device Manager." Locate the mouse entry in the list. Right-click on it and select "Update Driver" from the menu. Allow a few moments for the operating system to locate and install an updated driver for your mouse.
4. Remove dust or debris from the mouse pad and mouse with a soft cloth. Dust or debris could prevent the mouse from operating smoothly and cause the cursor to jump. Add a small amount of isopropyl alcohol to the cloth before you begin. Wait for the alcohol to dry on the pad and mouse prior to using.
5. Go to the "Start" menu and click on "Control Panel." Double-click on the "Mouse" icon and click on "Mouse Pointer." Decrease the speed of the mouse pointer. This could be causing the cursor to jump.
I hope you find it very helpful.
Thank you.

Lonovo 3000 n1000 shuts down
Sounds like an overheating problem, remove the side casing and check for fan rotation on all visible fans, most likely the cpu fan, however, the fan itself may not be faulty, check all of the cabinet for dust build up and remove, could be reducing airflow.
Lonovo 3000 n100 shuts down
Remove the harddrive and try turning it on. If that didn't work than try the memory and if that didn't work than your motherboard is dead. You can either buy a new laptop or get a new motherboard (it will be more cost effective to get a new computer). You can have your data move from the harddrive of your old computer to the new one if you go this route.
I have this laptop but don't have the orignal CD's
If you have the COA sticker on the bottom of your laptop, you can pretty much use any disc with the same OS as the sticker (XP Home won't work for XP Pro and vice-versa), the discs you can use several times to install, but the COA is what you're really paying for.
I don't advise ths next suggestion unless you have a pretty good idea of what you're doing, but you could always download an OS from a torrent site such as isohunt.com or thepiratebay.org. Not the most legal way of doing it, it's really pretty dark grey area, but it is pretty effective
Cannot use miscrosoft word. entered
if this is a recent laptop the version of windows on it is only a trial version and there is no product key - you have to buy one. however, if you bought your copy of microsoft word and the product key does not work then you would need to contact microsoft to obtain a replacement. then again, if you are looking for a word processor, you can get a full office suite for free from www.openoffice.org and will read all microsoft formats. if you create a document to send to anyone with ms office then remember to 'save as' and select ms office rather than just save.
One Key Recovery is not
Welcome to Fixya
Someone might have messed up your harddrive that is why one key recovery is already gone. Hidden harddrive partition will be erased if you installed new windows or repartiotion the harddrive. If you are going to restore the computer back to factory default state, you need to order the disc, If you still wanted to have the hidden partition back to your computer, you need to contact lenovo and send in the computer to repair department for HD re-imaging.

My lenovo x 60 tablet
Hi deepak_nangi,
There are two possible reasons why you are getting 0% available, not charging prompt even if you already got a new battery. It couls be an AC adapter issue or the DC In. Kindly follow the basic troubleshooting below that will help you isolate the issue:
1. Remove the battery from your system and use the AC adapter alone. If your system is not charging using the charger alone, then it's already defective and needed replacement.
2. You may also try using your AC adapter with other system where it is compatible. If it will work with other laptop then the issue is the DC In.
3. The DC In is the port where you are plugging in your AC Adapter. It is buit in to *********** board. If the DC In is loosed your system will not be charged as well. If this will be the case then the mother board needs replacement.
Doing these steps will help you determine the cause of the problem.
Hope it helps.
Thank you for using Fixya.
