I've had my 4GB for a couple of months and the other day I was loading some podcasts on it. After I finished loading them, I got in my car turned it on and it says file format not supported. This has never happened before. The stuff that was already on my mp3 was fine except the new stuff won't play. I plugged it back in looked at my list and saw that there were like two albums that had weird file names like " a./fdsdad)32545.;$" or somethin like that turns out they were some albums that were already on there. I don't know what to do with it. of course phillips tech support was no help. any ideas?
did u guys try 2 transfer the songs in mp3 format? cuz if ur using an mp3 player and the format of the song is not mp3 then its obviously not gonna work... but if u did try that then no idea.

Its a GoGear SA31xx and charges via usb, but when its plugged into my PC it just doesnt charge at all. It recognises its plugged in and i can upload stuff to it but the battery symbol stays on low and it won't stay on for more than a few seconds after its been unplugged. I tried resetting it but no luck... any ideas?
Hi, I had the same problem with my SA31xx, when I plugged it into my PC it made the normal usb sounds and then a flash symbol appeared over the battery on the screen. It would not charge at all, I replaced the usb cable and it now works perfectly. Hope this helps.

I have had a Philips 4Gb Go Gear player for about 3 months. It's been working great until about 4 days ago. I try to turn on my player and it stays on the Go Gear screen for about 10 seconds than shows a white screen that says File System Error and then shuts off. When I plug it into the computer it charges, and my computer makes a noise like it recognized it,but my computer will not recognize it. Please Help, I'm only 12 and I spent all of my money on this player! It's driving me nuts!
Ok, so what you need to do is plug your player into the computer. Then, in the go to my computer in your start area.
In your computer folder, you should have a removable disk (D:), this is your player.
Right click on the tab and go to Format, click on quick format and then start.
The next window that should pop up will say that it will may erase all the files on the device. That is ok. It will erase all the music you had on there, but that is easy enough to load back on.
Wait for it to finish, unplugg it, turn it on, and you should be good. All you have to do now is reload the music!
I had to figure this out for myself just a few minutes ago because I was having this same problem. Good Luck!

my gogear vibe says file system error...what do i do to make it work again?
Hello,
if
your PC can show the removable disk drive you should format it. In this
case all the folders and media files will be erased on your player.
If the PC can not see the player you could try to make firmware upgrade.
I think, this link will help you:

i tried the reset button but it cant reset. it turns off at the welcome screen
Hi, there are two types of reset mode:
The soft rest,
And the hard reset.
soft reset by pressing the power button and volume up (+) button together. if It didn't work. you can do the hard reset.
hard reset by pressing the reset button (its a small hole next to usb connection socket) with a safety pin. It worked. Thankfully it does not delete any of the content on the device .
Have a nice day...
