You may have remnants of torn paper left in the feed rollers or beyond -from a prior jam. Other causes include:

• Overheating
• Wrong Paper Type
• Printing Labels
• Cracked or Dirty Rollers
• Use of Wrong Tray
• Incorrect Loading of Paper
• Paper Overload

Open the cover and pull the paper out. You might need a pair tweezers if it is real small.

Please visit the Lexmark website to download and install the Lexmark X4270 Printer Driver on your computer. Select your operating system > click on "FILTER" > click on the driver under Recommended Downloads > download and execute the file. Simply follow the instructions on your computer screen to complete the installation.

When you get there on the left-hand side you will see a small window that says "Narrow Results", underneath that it will say "Drivers and Downloads". Select that and it will open a page where you will need to select your operating system (ex: Windows 7, XP, Vista). Then you'll be able to download the whole thing.

If you notice poor image quality in scans, faxes, or copies, you may need to clean the scan lens and the white roller.

1. Unplug the power cord from the wall.
2. Open the control panel.
3. Pull the roller lever forward, and then lift the white roller out of the All-In-One. Note: The scan lens is located under the white roller.
4. Use a clean, lint-free cloth dampened with water to wipe the white roller and the scan lens.
5. Reinstall the white roller.

The aioc.exe may be corrupted and needs to be repaired or reinstalled. You will need the installation cd to repair the software. Just insert the cd in the computer to repair it. You can also use the software online. Just click on this link: http://bit.ly/a2Odsv . Download and install the software. If that won't resolve it, you might need to uninstall everything by going to Start Menu > All Programs/Programs> Lexmark Series folder> Tools> Uninstall. Restart pc. Reinstall the software.
