you can simply use drag and drop method to transfer music from your computer to your MP3 player. You can also use Windows media player 10 to transfer music. Make sure to use version 10,. Version 11 doesn't work.
Transfer music via Windows Media Player 10:
1.Hook up your GoGear to the PC via the supplied USB cable.
2.Plug your GoGear into a power outlet with the supplied AC adapter/charger.
3.Launch Windows Media Player 10.
Note: Once the device is connected to the computer, all audio or radio playback will stop.
4.Check and make sure that the Create folder hierachy on device option is enabled in Windows Media Player. Go to Tools>Options. Select the Devices tab and then highlight GoGear Audio and click Properties
5.Click "OK" to close the windows.
6.Click the "Sync" tab.
7.In the "Items to Copy" pane, from the drop-down list, click the playlist, category, or other item that you want to copy.
8.Click the check boxes next to any files you want to copy.
9.In the "Items on Device" pane, from the drop-down list, click on PhilipsGoGear for where to copy files to.
10.Click the "Start Sync" button.
11.The Player verifies that there is sufficient storage space on the device to copy the selected files. If there is sufficient space, the files are converted (if necessary) and copied to the portable device.
12.Repeat steps 2-5 for any other items that you want to copy to your portable device.
13.Once the transfer is completed, close Windows Media Player.
14.Unplug the GoGear from the PC and enjoy the music on your GoGear.
