I have tried to figure out the conversion tools in the CD that came with it... it always says conversion complete but when i try to put it on my mp3 player it says error... what am i doing wrong?.. my e-mail is [email protected] Thank you sooo much!
Open up your files of your movies which have to be transfered over to your MP3 player files in order to work. Then make sure your MP3 player is in MSC USB mode. Then you install the little program for converting cd's over to MP3 and viola you got it!

I just bought a coby mp3 player and I charged it for approx 6 hours and it won't turn on when i hold the start button. I have a mac with osx 10.5 I plug it in to the usb and it shows it charging on the screen of the mp3 player. When do you know it's fully charged?
On my Colby player there is a small reset hole in the back. Mine has sometimes just stopped playing and shuts off. If you use a small wire (paperclip works well) push it in and reset it.

WILL NOT PLAY OR LOAD MUSIC VIDEOS
Hello.
how to add music:
1. Turn on MP3 player, go to 'Settings', put USB mode to MSC
2. Connect MP3 player to the computer
3. Click the 'Start' button, go to 'My Computer'
4. Under my computer, there should be a drive labeled 'Removable Disk', this is the MP3 player,
5. Drag your audio files to this location (audio files have to be MP3 or UNPROTECTED Windows Media Audio Files)
Video Conversion
Videos have to be MTV format, make sure videos play on your computer before you convert the videos:

Hi, I have a bunch of music on my device, but have a lot of difficulty creating playlists. Also, I have a bunch of duplicate songs. Almost all of my music was on windows media player, but, because of some difficulties, I had to reset the disk on the computer. Lost all the files. Now, when I plug in the device, I can't transfer it back to the media player, which is the only place I even have any idea how to coordinate. Any ideas?
Hello Simone, the interesting thing about the Coby MP705 is that the company decided not to reinvent the technology that already exist, but to use the Windows technology. The best way of creating a playlist is by first connecting your MP3 player to your computer. After the computer recognizes the mp3 player double click “my computer” after that double click on the icon that shows “Coby MP705” and if “internal storage” appears also double click that icon. You should now see a series of folders double click the music folder. All your music folders will now appear. Go on any music folder and right click it. You will see an option half way down that say “create playlist” by selecting this option you create that folder as a playlist. If you want to make a playlist with a compilation of assorted music you must first create a folder with all the music you would like in that playlist then follow the instructions on how to create a playlist hope this helps.

I have plugged my coby mp705 into my computer via the usb cable. It charged, but my computer does not recognize it. My computer briefly shows the symbol for something being connected via usb port, but then it disappears. The manual says to open "My Computer" and that the device will be listed under "Audio Devices", but there is nothing.
remove the device, swear a few times, promise your son you'll buy him a proper ipod, then give it to the dog to play with.

I just bought a coby mp610-2g its a slim mp3 player with an appearance almost like an Ipod.. It has features that allows it to play videos, music, pictures and read ebooks. I converted a video using an mtv video converter and I get an error message " Unknow format" when I try to play the videos in MTV format.. The player also was supposed to support WMV but mine doesn't even recognize it.. Whats wrong with it?
Hey try to get the video file you are converting to .mtv to convert to .mov first.I had the same problems until I tried it that way.Someone else somewhere says mpg is a good format that the converter will read well and convert properly.I never tried it though. However I find that .avi files will give you problems. This is because .avi is a container not a format.
Also remember Youtube videos download as flv files and if you use MediaCoder like I do,to convert from flv to .avi you will have problems because the actual format will be Xvid and the container .avi.
fFor the sys err problem..visit the Coby USA website ...there is a firmware fix there. The actual link is on this site in another Coby mp 610 question.
I hope this works...let us know
