Hi

This unit charges via the USB cord when it is directly connected to your computer or other device with a USB port. You can also purchase a home AC adaptor but as far as I am aware this does not come as standard with the unit itself.

Hope this helps. Thanks for using FixYA.

Keys are locked when they shouldn't be.

I assume that when you say they shouldn't be locked, that you are saying the "Lock" slider on the back is set to the unlocked position. If that is the case, then there is likely an issue with the firmware and it will need to be reinstalled.

Download the firmware installer here:

Be sure to back up any important media on your player before performing the firmware reinstall

Try reflashing the firmware for your device you can find the latest firmware and flashing utilities from the manufacturer’s website. Make sure that you back your music up first because when you do this you are setting it back to factory settings.

I can see the music on the mp3, but it will not

Try higher-impedance headphones (cheap ones from a dollar store are fine to test; if you're using low-impedance like 8-ohm, may be too low for the audio bus in the unit and is drawing too much from the battery causing the shutdown/error). Or the audio amp or DAC is fried- are you playing out the USB or the line out jack?

RCA Opal M4002 MP3 Player

Its the problem of the faulty or short tracked usb port or short-tracking on the circuit related to usb connections which causes this.
There is nothing needed to make the RCA Opal M4002 MP3 Player compatible to xp.its already compatible to be used with xp.

just check with other usb port.if it still has problem then your motherboard requires repairs in usb section.

This will help. Thanks please keep updated.please do rate the solution positively .thank you for using fixya.
