I keep loosing the internet connection; doesn't
Hello
I had the same problem with my connection, and in my case it was signal related. I Am using a belkin USB adapter. I downloaded netstumbler(it is free, just google it) and found that you had to have a signal noise ratio of about 22 to have a reliable internet connection that doesn't drop out. So download netstumbler(link below) and see what your current signal noise ratio is, then just place your adapter where you get the best signal noise ratio.
I built myself a modified windsurfer. You just take a A4 paper and glue aluminum foil with the bright side facing outwards. then arch your paper in a semi-circle and place it behind your adapter and angle it in the direction of your connection point. Remember that a line of sight is very important, so if you can place the adapter(assuming a dongle) on the window which is in the direction of of your connection point it will work . Also remeber that rain and wind does influence your signal. i hope this works for you, if not, feel free to mail me with more info on yor problem.

Cant rember password
Your wireless router is prompting you for a password in order to log onto your network. If you do not remember your password, you can reset the routers' configuration by holding down the reset button on the back of the router, and you can then use the default user name and password to change the settings. HOWEVER, you will lose all of your network settings so if you have multiple devices connected via wireless, they will also have to be reset.
If you need help re-configuring your router, visit the router manufacturer's web page. There should be a tutorial to walk you through the process.
If you happen to have a Linksys wireless router, here is their page: http://www.wikihow.com/Reset-a-Linksys-Router

Router Security Light is Blinking
Hello,
I have the same symptoms. In my opinion, this is done because you turned your Belkin from a router to access point position. I did it also (issues with adsl modem/router). By manual the flashing diod means no secure device. But, without pass you can't access your Belkin. So, probably, some fault in firmaware.
Nice day.

Can I upgrade to a new motherboard with existing components?
You may not be able to upgrade the system without also replacing the power supply... the current one may not have enough power.
You would also need to match the CPU to the motherboard. If you can't find a motherboard that will use your current CPU, you'll have to add that to the list.
I would also be concerned about cooling... newer CPUs run hotter and need good cooling, so a new(er) case may be in order.
Your graphics card would also have to match the slots on the new motherboard. Almost all are now coming with PCI Express slots, replacing AGP from just a few years ago.
At this point you are almost to the point of a new machine... physically and cost wise.
On the good side, you could still use your existing hard drive, CD/DVD, etc...
