I do not know about these items but if it works on other phones then a few things spring to mind, that moto might use a different version of plug like a "3 ring + tip" plus there maybe one with 4 + tip. Another thought is the mic needs power if its an electret type which that moto does not supply. The connection of those earbuds may be wired a little different to how moto needs, many manufacturers do this so you buy their bits and bobs. Lastly the moto may need some feature selection in its menu system to be turned on so look through its settings for audio-microphone etc. Hope this might help

The fashion for nostalgia radio with a modern sound has brought about a clutch of models from only a few manufacturers. I have only encountered one such that was basically an in-house cabinet with bought in internals, the quality of which was probably reflected in the price and as this was from the lower price bracket the internals were from different sources and badly matched. I know of no reason to assume other models would be substantially different because although popular they haven't sold in the high numbers that would justify purpose built internals and so the chances are an experienced audio engineer would probably recognise the circuit board as being from a popular hi-fi and be able to provide you with details.

Make sure that the pair on your output device states paired for phone and music. It can still pair for phone and data but not pair to stream music. This is common on android devices especially. If this be the case, unpair the device and forget (delete) the earbuds on your output device. Ensure any bluetooth devices like amazon Alexa, TVs and other common things are powered down. Turn the bluetooth on the output device off, then back on. Search for earbuds and follow manufacturer procedures to sync earbuds. Once found, pair. Ensure when a successful pair happens that they are paired for phone and music. It will tell you on the output device if the pair was successful for both. You likely tripped a fuse or circuit breaker. If you are referring to an automotive type stereo there will be 2 fuses associated with this problem. One is directly on the back of the head unit and is usually 10amp, the other is in your vehicle fuse box usually labeled radio in the diagram.

There are two versions. A free version and a paid version. Make sure you choose the free one and you will not be charged anything. You may need to uninstall the one you have downloaded and reinstall. Do not choose PREMIUM vesion.

The earbuds may be defective.

Here's a guess. Pull the fuse for the radio and replace. If you can't find a fuse, remove the battery cable, and replace. Good luck.

Try using the manual if you can't see any button that say time, or menu on it. That radio is subject to a lot of complaints, that is what you get when you shop for cheap electronics. Some buttons have to be held down for a few seconds to get into a hidden feature, like setting the time.

try this: The only known way to get VFO mode to work again is to connect the radio to a PC with a kenwood-compatible programming lead and use the puxing 6in1 software to turn off the lock option.

I did a lot of digging around. Your FT-301 is a nice radio. However the service manual does not have the mic "pin out. " The Ham Forums do not have the mic wiring either. I did find that almost all mics are not wired the same as the Yaesu. Could you just buy a Yaesu mic? Sorry I cannot find this.

Even saying ICOM would help people to help you. That radio requires software and a programming cable adapter. It is new enough to do Narrow band. Best bet is to find an ICOM dealer to program it for you. That way, it will be on legal frequencies. Your unit is VHF, so it cannot talk to GMRS over the counter radios. It is a decent radio, we sold them and the battery life was good. Ask more if you want to know more.

try to do a Hard reset on the unit and then reload your freq list from Chirp. It happened to my UV-5R-v2 Baofeng. It worked fine after that.

Your Kenwood radio has programmable squelch. It is accessible through the software. However, if the squelch knob (pot) has been broken, it must be fixed or replaced. Move the control knobs back and forth, do either move more than say 1/16 of an inch? If so, they likely broke inside. You could open the radio, resolder the switch, which I called a pot and see if that works. If not, take it to a dealer or sadly, buy another radio.
