Just hooked up a new water line for the ice maker
if you take a jumper wire like an extension cord without the female side and hook two connectors on the end it becomes a powered jumper if you take this powered jumper and touch the power to the side of the water valve it will bring water up through the line when it activates the valve the other way of doing this is if your icemaker was the manual kind where u can remove the front cover and i think its the L pin on the icemaker would make the icemaker send the signal to the valve in which water would also travel up the line in this video that is shown this is the type of icemaker with the l pin

Internal structure isn't always easy to see but often a 'line drawing' will help.
Go to the link below and enter your model number.
Sears maintains thousands of such drawings of US manufacturer's products whether they ever sold them or not, which include part numbers and a path to order parts when needed.

It is the nose of the water moving through the fill valve . If your pressure is very high try closing the valve supplying the water a bit may help but some noise is normal . If it is very annoying call a tech and have it checked out.

Sounds like the fill tube at the ice maker is either out of alignment or has a crack in it.
The water supply line from the water inlet valve
enters the rear of the freezer and releases the water into a large
diameter fill tube. The fill tubes hangs above the fill cup which funnels the
water into the ice mold. If the fill tube and fill cup are improperly aligned,
water may spill out instead of going into the mold.
The fans run but it
Possible sealed system problem which is covered under warranty. Contact Whirlpool not Lowes.

one of 2 issues, first possibly the evaporator coil in the freezer is iced over and not allowing cold air into the freezer and refrigerator, then check the defrost heater and thermostats on the evaporator coil/secondly,it could be a bad ptc overload relay on the compressor in the rear lower area not letting the compressor start, when you check this the condenser fan near this may be running, don't let this fool you it will normally run even if the compressor is not,a hint,if the compressor is overly warm to the touch this is a sign of a bad ptc overload relay remove this component and shake it by hand,if you hear it rattling its another sign its bad
Water leaks from the back
Hi and welcome to FixYa, I am Kelly. I will comment but need a good model number to pass along correction steps applicable to your exact unit. This is usually caused by a evaporator drain.that is clogged with ice. What you can do is either use a hand held hair dryer or a fan to defrost the ice build up. I will tell you that it take much longer than you would tink to defrost the drain. The water acts as an insulator for the ice so you have to remove / collect the water as it defrosts to speed up the defrosting process. I have found the easiest way is to just place a fan directed into the freezer compartment for about 2 hours to do the defrosting trick. One may units the only way to gain access to the drain to remove any debris is to remove the rear evaporator cover. This means that the shelving and ice maker also have to be removed just for compartment drain access. When defrosted.. a cup of hot water should pass through the drain down to the plastic catch basin under the unit in less than 8 seconds. Sometimes the upper drain is clear but debris / gunk has clogged the very end of the drain tube under the unit so water stands in the drain even after defrosting. The only way to clear it is to remove the clog at the end of the line. Usually it takes a piece of wire to break through the debris but it all has to be removed and cleaned out. Once you do this check how long it takes for the cup of hot water to pass from the freezer drain to the catch basin.
This should stop your leak unless you have ice maker over flow problems. (Different solution)
If you need more assistance... I need a good model number in your response.
Thanks for choosing FixYa,

I have a model ET8CHKXKQ0 1 Whirlpool refrigerator
The drain in the freezer is clogging. When the defrost switches on, the backed-up ice thaws and starts dripping down into the fridge area.
Easiest is probably to turn off the fridge, let it thaw, then check the freezer drain to see if you can unclog it.
Otherwise, you have to pull out the bottom and back parts in the freezer (which will probably have some sort of ice frozen to them). Once you see the drain pan, get a turkey baster and flat head screw driver. You'll have to make a hole in the ice above the drain and squirt hot water until you hear it start draining. The drain hole is off center to the right in the drain pan.
Good luck
The fridge went through a
The condenser fan only runs when the compressor runs. If the water reached this motor it will need to be replaced. I would also replace the relay pack on the compressor if the water reached it.
