Wash the rice in a seive till water runs clear. Use a cup of rice to a cup of water. Or if you have measurement levels on the inside, fill water up to the number of cups of rice you have put in. Cup size is more like an oriental cup size than a regular teacup.
Hope this helps.

HELLO THERE
I think that you might need to refer to the users manual on the operation of this rice cooker some cookers need to be shut off after a certain time to allow for the steam to cook the rice the rest of the way some may need less water some need more depends on the type of rice that makes a big difference ok?
best regards michael
I lost my manual
hello there
here it is pretty simple ok
Use a 1:1 ratio of rice to water plus ½ cup of water for white rice and a 1:1
ratio plus ¾ cup of water for brown rice. hope that is verry helpfull
best regards michael
I lost the measuring cup. Can I use a regular
1 cup of rice in the rival cup does NOT equal 1 cup of rice in a regular measuring cup. I lost mine too and I've found that using 3/4 cup of a regular measuring cup works with the lines on the inside of the pot
Getting Pot in the Cooker
the pot is not suppose to be a tight fit. now if there is more and half an inch space then it is a manufacturer defective. but if there is less than half an inch then that's normal cause you have to be able to take it out and wash it. as long as it doesn't rattle when cooking everything is fine
Lid for RC61 rice cooker
the best place that you can try locally for a lid replacement would like target or wal-mart if you have one in your area. or any type of hardware store possibly. If those places don't have them the only other thing you would be able to do is call the manufacturer and get another lid that way.
