My Mac G4 Tower, 10.3.9, suddenly lost all color.

The wether does have something to do with it. After a lightning storm humidity is a problem. the humidity and heat can make the screen lighter, kind of grey. After the wether clears up it will take an hour to regain full color. Also it could be if it was charging while the storm happened it could have blown a fuse and messed up you screen colors
Also try to gain color by
Control+option+command+8 (negativity)

Control+option+command+< or >

NO picture

Try attaching an external monitor to the notebook & see if you will get display on it or not. If this works, then you most probably have a defective or loose LCD screen cable, that need to either be replaced or properly connected.

DVD will not eject. How do I get dvd out ???

laptop or desktop?

easy way, try to right click the drive and click eject from inside windows.

brute force way:
on a desktop get a paperclip and shove it in the tiny hole. including a firm shove to pop the tray loose, then grab the tray and gently tug the drive open. keeping a sharp eye on any hanging or obstructing objects.

laptop, look for the hole and follow the same directions. or take the cd bay out of the computer, most companies put an emergancy open method, check the users manual.

Can i use a universal ac charger on my apple

You can use a universal adapter if you find one as long as the output voltage matches an original so that way the laptop turns on and would charge the battery. If you buy a universal adapter without the output voltages matching up then you take a chance on either the laptop not turning on or the laptop turning on and not charging up the battery.

PowerBook G4 Mac Notebook: what is the icon immediately to the left of the an...

It's most likely the bluetooth icon. You can use bluetooth to up/download files from a bluetooth compatible phone, or other device into your laptop.
You need to "find" and "connect" both pieces of equipment to work together first.
Similar to a bluetooth headset with your phone.
Easy to do and then it's easy to transfer files..

My notebook doesn`t come on when I turn on the power switch.

Check the battery by pushing the button on the bottom, if it shows one light flashing or no lights then the battery is discharged. The problem may be with the ac adapter. Many of these connectors fail after a while and they don't charge the system, which means when the battery dies, there is no more turning on.

You can create a new account give it Admin priviliages, then log out, log into the new account and delete the old account. You will be prompted with save old settings. Click no. It should be all set. Some little bits are still there which means its not a true fresh install but its pretty close.

Try a different AC adapter. If your computer doesn't recognize that one either, then you may need a replacement DC-in Board.

Cant find the disc on my powerbook g4

STart up your G4 using the OS disc for leopard, but instead of reinstalling the system, go to the menu at the top of the screen and Launch Disk Utility.
You may need to remount your hard drive. The disk utitliy can do this for you. Then it should appear in the disk utillity window. Then you should be able to install the OS and away you go!

My Powerbook G4 turns on light, fan, chime but no video.

Your hard drive has lost a file needed to start up the machine. The folder with the question mark means it cannot find a useable Operating system. I hope you backed up your files you needed becuase the only real way to recover the machine is to reinstall the OS from the install disk. You must format the Hard Drive from the format option on the install disk and reinstall the OS.
