Icecubes freeze together in a

Good day,
In almost all cases, that problem is due to the dual water valve located at the bottom rear of the machine. It is not repairable and must be replaced.
Assuming the freezer is staying at it's normal temperature, when the ice maker fills, the water valve described above does not shut off completely after a normal fill, causing water to dribble down the fill chute freezing the cubes together.

Very common problem, and changing the valve is not difficult, and most appliance parts houses carry them.

It not cooling

If the compressor is running you are more than likely low on freon. Also ck the fan under the back ofthe unit to make sure that it is running when the compressor is running if not it needs to be replaced. If the compressor is not running your timer may have went bad and the ref is in defrost mode. If you look on the back or under the backside of your ref or if you have your original paper work it should show you where the timer is located if not look under the front side first it will be an od shaped box with multiple wire plug running to it it will have a hole in the center of the plastic side that you can insert a flat blade screw driver and turn clockwise you will hear clicks if the ref does not kick on your problem may be your selector switch inside the ref sid of the unit. turn it off and slowly back on does it have an audible click if not its bad for sure. outside of these it could be your hi temp sensor in the frez side that controls the heater that defrosts your fzr side. All of this said its usually low on freon.

WILL NOT MAKE ICE

Hi,

There are several different reasons that an Ice Maker will stop working. One is that the water valve has gone bad. It is a 120 volt valve that is at the back and bottom of the refrigerator, it is very simple to replace but you need to make sure that is the problem before you replace it. Another thing could be that the heater in the Ice Maker has gone bad, the timer motor could be bad, and there are other reasons but they all are not things that you can replace. And even if you could the parts that you would replace would cost more than a new Ice Maker.

I suggest you take out your old Ice Maker, which is not hard to do, two screws to loosen and an electric plug to unplug, then take it to someone that sells your brand of refrigerator and purchase a new one, should be around $125 to $150.

Hope this helps

The light and fan are on, but it's not cold...

Both the light and teh ffan are not the principle elements of cooling but only to assist to light up and spread the cooling. These are connect to the circuit for continuous run. What is most important is to check on the compressor for good pumping pressure, whether there is gas in the system or if the thermostat is defective as much as the timer and wiring being detached or wron out. Put off your fridge for about 8 hours and put it on. If it cools and ice forms then you will need to check the timer, the heater and the thermostat. If not your compresor is without gas or faulty. Check this out. Good day

My whirlpool fridge freezer won't turn on and it

It is quite possible that your compressor motor is loading up and using more amperage than is required. hence the trip happens on start up. Try to change the main capcitor to the motor and test. If your cooling is fine and the freezer is working in order then this would solve. if not the compressor is defective and will need a change. But you will have to weigh the cost of changing to a new model with energy saving and warranty. So check this out. Good day

Water driping from freezer to refrigerator

If this is a side by side refrigerator, water dripping from the cold air return indicates a warm air leak, or some source of constant heat presence. Check to make sure doors close completely, that you have a tight seal along the entire edge of all four sides of both doors, that a light is not staying on when door is closed, that your ice maker is not stuck in the harvest cycle which turns a heater on underneath the ice maker, some other cause not determined without personal inspection.

How to mount the water value assembly for an ice

This may not be the problem now but by the sound of the malfunctioning unit, it could be in the future. The start device on some models of refridgerator for maytag and whirlpool have been recalled. If your appliance was manufactured in the last 5-10 years you may be having an issue with this component. Mine recently caught on fire at this device that is located near the compressor.
