Side wall is very hot
Must be checked if there is fault in the thermostat or there is starter relay fault. the sides are hot due to the heat exchange and the cooling should be good but if the compressor is stopping and starting then it can be related to the controller, thermostat or the relay itself.

My icemaker will no longer make ice. It just
Good day,
If the freezer is working at it's normal temperature then follow this procedure to get the ice maker up and running.
First step is to take a small paper cup of water and fill the cavity until it is near full. With the ice maker turned on, close freezer door and wait 3 hours to see if it harvests. If not, the ice maker is bad, and must be replaced. If the cubes harvest then.......
Three possibilities.
1. The water supply from the house is not delivering water to the water valve. Shut off the house at the meter, disconnect the line going to the water valve, and with the line pointed into a bucket, have someone turn the valve back on for a 15 second count. The water should come out smartly. If not, the line and it's fittings will have to be replaced.
2. The fill tube from the back of the machine that feeds water into the back of the ice maker is frozen up. You will have to remove the ice maker to visually inspect that tube. If blocked, it needs to be defrosted, but use caution. Too much heat too fast will start to melt plastic and vinyl parts you don't want melted.
If this is the case, then once cleaned out, you will have to change the water valve located in the back bottom rear of the machine because it is leaking during the off cycle.
3. If everything checks O.K. up to this point, you will have to purchase and install a new water valve, and install it.
P.S. Under very rare occasions the electric circuity in the ice maker will fail to send a signal to the water valve. Although rare, it can happen, in which case the best option is to replace the ice maker and water valve.

No water going to ice maker
Your inlet tube that goes to the icemaker may be frozen.
To Check: Shut off water supply to Fridge, disconnect the
water line that goes to the icemaker at top back.
Use a flexible item to insert in the water line connection.
I used a zip tie. If the flexible item won't all the through
to the ice maker, the line is frozen. Thaw out the tube
from inside the freezer with a hair dryer. Re-connect
everything, you now have ice . . .
Solution #2: You may have to replace your "Water Inlet
Valve" located at bottom right rear of Fridge.
Easy to do, just follow the color codes, be sure and shut
off the water.

Has stopped making ice
sounds like your ptc overload relay on the compressor is weak or the compressor is beginning to lock up and drawing too much current and kicking out this relay and overload

Water dispenser quit working. Water supply is good
Mine does the same thing, you have to open the door and let the water defrost, you have to keep doing this. The freezer door does not have the proper insulation to keep the water line from freezing. As soon as I can, my side by side is going bye bye

Smell developed in refrigerator, it is thoroughly clean
The drain is at the bottom inside the freezer section. It is possible a
piece of something got behind a panel, or otherwise in a "hidden" spot.
Or something is in the defrost water tray underneath and every time it
defrosts, it gets wet and releases the odor again. Look in the drain
pan by removing the kick plate (bottom grate under the doors) and look to see if anything is there. Use a few open boxes of
baking soda in the fridge (to absorb odors), and wipe the inside with
some vanilla extract. that combination will help with the odor. But the
source of the odor needs to be removed first. It sometimes can be hard to find.
