How to play high graphics games with my 128mb

This is not possible you would need to upgrade your gfx card, Over clocking it could help but as its so small anyway it would just over-heat and produce problems
Replacing it is best option.

Suitable Griphics Card

32 megs of graphix is nothing compared to what they have out nowadays. you need to first find out if you have a pci or an agp port. also, what operating system are you using?

what you probably need is a 2-4 year old video card which supports agp 4x.

Need a new slim, low power gfx card

Hello,

I would advise your friend to ugrade that PSU first. 450-500w at least. Depending upon your friends preference, both ATI and Nvidia offer decent cards for under 100 bucks. For the $200.00 he could upgrade both. Check out www.newegg.com. Thats where I buy all my stuff.

Good Luck!

Hey its the guy with a question about the card

what do you mean by low profile most time if you have a normal size case with plenty of clearance around its slot almost any card will do
The most important thing is the correct type of card AGP or PCI-E and they all have a rating PCI-E can be 4X 8X or 16X and a higher rating will not work in alower rating board
first find the details about your M/board and let me know

Graphics card

most of overheat problem of a video card was cause by overclocking like what ive said. maybe you changed some configurations of the main settings of your video cards. just relax about the heat of your video card it will be ok. heres an advice, just take off the side case you computer (it should be expose) so that the heat of your video cards and other devices will not stay inside. tell you something, i have a computer shop and all of them are heated everyday because i dont have an aircondition to cool the computers and the entire shop. im just using 3 electric fans, to cool my computers and my customers. luckily no video cards and other device get damage. hope that helps!

Graphics Card Problem

im sure that is AGP, because we have the same video card on my other computer. your PCI slot is for sound cards, link modem, etc.. whenever your playing games make sure that you put the video option in to medium or low because that starts the heat of your video card when you use it into the limit. Try to cool the video card if its happening the heat again by using a fan and aim it to the video cards.

Others are overclocking their video cards to push the capability of the video card over the limit. their using a cooling fan or a tube like to maintain the temperature of their video cards. hope that helps

Looking to buy a new graphics card

You have a PCI Express slot to put a graphics card in. You can get a bigger graphics card to install in the machine but the power supply you are using in your comptuer is only 300 watts. If the specs of the memory card tell you to upgrade the power supply if its blow x amount watts you will have to do that in order to not run into problems. The good thing about e-machines is that you can upgrade the power supply at the same time. Usually they don't cost a lot of money.

You might have to get one thats around 425 to 475 watts depending on what the instructions tell you. If the new video card you are using is running a fan for cooling, chance are it will need an upgrade.

Seems from what i gathered that as long as its an SLI ready motherboard with a open 16x PCI-E compliant slot and of course its gotta fit your tower. Find out the form factor of the tower then also make sure that it fits the correct type of ram that you have and prosesser. Then u should be good to go!
