Food does not heat up

To correctly sort the problem out, you need to replace the magnatron and capacitor with the HV diode. That will definately sort the problem out. Do not do this repair without supervision as a microwave is truly a dangerous item to repair.(Make sure the plug is out when inspecting the components. You must be exact when ordering the componenents. Read off the numbers to the supplier to get the correct items.(Thats if you insist on doing it yourself).

Digital display distorted and is

Hello,

Defective or damage digital display - physical abuse is not a recommended technique for getting a microwave oven to cooperate. If there is any visible damage to the digital display, the outer film is broken, it will probably need to be replaced. There are no two ways to this, other than to replace it.

Take care.

The power has gone off in the microwave unit.

There should also be a "mini-manual" hidden inside the unit behind the control panel or hidden on the left side behind the grille, which is very helpful when troubleshooting, & testing.

At our Web site, we have a video available showing how to remove a typical over the range control panel assembly in under 5 minutes.

If you don't find your mini-manual, or if you want to look at it before removing the controller, you can download it here (just enter your model number).

You can find helpful exploded view diagrams and order parts by entering your full model number here.

THE MICROWAVE IS WORKING BUT THERE IS NO DISPLAY.

If there is no display it is typically the LCD Module which is located inside the door, the part number is W10143962 and runs $154.00 for the part. Since the door will need to be disassembled, unless you have done this job before I would recommend calling a professional to make the repairs.

On a side note, check with KitchenAid before you spend any money on this, a lot of parts have a 5 year warranty on their products

Error code ee1 on sharp r-22at

EE1 on a Sharp commercial microwave is magnetron 1-related failure.

It may be a bad connection or relay on the control board, a bad magnetron, a bad high voltage diode, etc. - anything in the high voltage circuit for the #1 magnetron.

We have the service / repair manual for a similar model and have uploaded it to our site here to help you.

It will give you safety info, step by step help in disassembly and troubleshooting tips, but do not rely on the part numbers shown in that manual.

You can find part numbers and order parts from Encompass here or you can call them toll-free at 866-779-5835.

Most computers will open the manual automatically, but you may need the free Adobe Reader

Works for approx 30 secs then it cuts off with a error Code F7 message.

Assuming yours is a model KHMS2050SSS0, here is what the technical sheet says about the F7 error code:

1. Unplug microwave oven or disconnect power.
2. After 40 seconds, check to see whether this solves the problem.
3. Unplug microwave oven or disconnect power.
4. Check cooling fan operation
5. Check the magnetron.
6. Check P65 connection on the relay control board.
7. Check the P56/P66 connection between relay board and relay control board.
8. Check wiring to the 1200W inverter and control system. See “Checking Inverters.”
9. Check operation of all interlock switches.
10. Replace all parts and panels before operating.
11. Plug in microwave oven or reconnect power.
12. Check voltage at 4903-1 on relay board. If it is 120, unplug microwave oven or disconnect power.
13. Replace inverter.
14. Replace all parts and panels before operating.
15. Plug in microwave oven or reconnect power.
16. If problem persists, unplug microwave oven or disconnect power.
17. Replace relay control board.
18. Replace all parts and panels before operating.
19. Plug in microwave oven or reconnect power.
20. If problem persists, unplug microwave oven or disconnect power.
21. Check for reversed plug connection on controls or loose wiring.
22. Replace all parts and panels before operating.
23. Plug in microwave oven or reconnect power.

(This troubleshooting guide presumes one does not know how to test electronic components. That's why they say to replace and part and check it again.)

You can find helpful exploded view diagrams and order parts by entering your full model number from the tag on the oven here.

If yours is a different model number, please reply back.

Kitchenaid microwave kmhs120ess door fell apart

Doors for microwave ovens are usually replaced as a complete item. I would ask the person who forgot to fix the door latches properly back to fix it properly. If some of the clips were snapped off when removing the door panel, the panel must be replaced or it will fall out again.

Kitchenaid oven racks fall

I am a bit late on this question, but just ended up in a rabbit hole of unanswered Kitchenaid questions The self cleaning features only serves to keep manufacturers in steady sales of parts. Quite simply the oven can only take those temperatures a few times until they break. The heat burns out elements, damages fans, door locks and worst of all damages control boards which are not far enough from the heat source. You problem sounds like the walls of the oven have buckled in the heat so the racks no longer fit. Too late now, but you should have taken Kitchenaid to court, the oven was not fit for purpose under the description they used to sell it to you. Never use the self cleaning feature as stated here https://www.google.com/search?q=self-cleaning+oven+temperature Never Ever use the self clean feature. We see damage here every couple of weeks. The worst was a burned control board on an oven that all parts were obsolete, so the self clean cost a thousand bucks! Self-cleaning ovens bring the heat so you don't have to spend hours scrubbing. Traditional self-cleaning cycles heat the oven between 800°F and 900°F, helping turn soil and spills to a powdery ash you can then wipe away. They utilize only heat-no chemicals-and are built to withstand high temperatures. (Says Maytag who love selling elements, door locks and other parts),
