LG LD65EL Dehumidifier - Page 3 Questions & Answers
Unit runs a lot. Doesn't condense much water. Sometimes fan runs alone, sometimes compressor runs alone.
You may also want to check the coils and make sure they do not have dirt or dust on them. If they are clean you may have an issue with the refrigerant level which will cause the coils not to cool properly. For that you will want to contact LG. There could be an issue with the compressor also. LG backs alot of their models with a 5 year warranty. Contact them and let them know about your issue. Make sure you still have your reciept. Here is their contact number:

LG LD65E humidity variance
Is the compressor running or is it just the fan? If its just the fan it is because it is cycling the air and it uses that air flow to check the humidity in the air. If the fan runs non-stop and the compressor does not turn on or the fan does not shut off there is a problem with this unit and you will need to replace it. Since it is brand new you should still be able to return it to the store.

Dehumidifier Present % indicates "Hi"
It is showing high because the present humidity is above 80%. Try turning the humidity setting down and let the dehumidifier run for a while. Once the dehumidifier lowers the humidity in the room this level will go lower. If this persists after running for a while you will need to contact LG for service. They back these models with a 5 year warranty. Here is the number to contact them at:

LG LD65EL dehumidifier will not collect water
Make sure the filter is clean and also make sure the coils are cleaned. If these are clogged they will restrict airflow which will cause the coils not to remove the humidity from the air. LG recommends that you clean the air filter every 2 weeks. They also include a brush to clean the coils. If this still does not work you will need to contact LG for service or a replacement. They have a 5 year warranty on them so the ones that you guys have should still be under warranty. Make sure that you have your reciept when you contact them to prove that it is still under warranty. Keep me posted. Also please rate my solution when you get a chance. Thanks - Tech101

Dehumidifier stopped working, then started up,but making strange buzzing sound and does not collect any water
Try cleaning the coil and filter. They may have collected alot of dust and this could have caused the issue. If it is still doing it after you clean it the issue may be thecompressor. If the compressor is bad it may be cheaper to pick up a new unit. I recommend picking up one that has an energy star rating. They are usually made of higher quality materials and will save you some money on your electric bills. If you found this solution helpful please rate it.

Puts off a lot of heat
Additional heat from a dehumidifier should only be the electrical heat generated from the compressor. This is due to the fact that the cooling coil and condenser coil (hot bit) are normally located next to each other with a common airflow so the heat generated should be minimal. Hope this helps.

LD65EL Dehumidifier rumbles and has poor air flow
Sounds like the bearings have failed in the fan motor, & the rotor is rubbing on the stator. You mentioned end play in the shaft, check for cross play. There should be no perceptable cross play, any found indicates a need for a new motor.

LG LD450EAL no power
Try resetting the GFI breaker, assuming it is connected to one. Also check the main breaker panel to make sure the breaker is not tripped. Unfortunately the electronic panels do go bad in these systems after a few years of service. Try resetting the unit. There should be a tiny reset button on the back. Also if the bucket is full it will not turn on, make sure it is in place and seated properly or it will not turn on. There may be a reset on the cord itself as well, hope this helps.
