when PC cannot boot there is probably failure on installation RAM, VGA (external), or Power Supply. in your case (no beep) maybe it is your power supply don't have enough power to boot or its already damaged. try to another power supply with higher voltage (watt), or change with the new ones. hope this useful, regard riyan.

Go into the BIOS or System Setup and make sure you have it set to boot from your Hard Drive first. This might be trying to boot from a LAN.Turn your computer off, then turn it on and watch for which key to hit to get into the Bios or System Setup.

Do you need just to install the speakers or the sound drivers? What is your exact problem? Also clarify me what is your motherboar's brand / model.

The simplest, but somewhat time consuming solution would be to boot from a linux live cd, backup your data, and re-install windows.

You can download the motherboard drivers from Intel WEB site. Select your model motherboard/device, and make sure you select the Windows XP or Vista version of the drivers that matches your Windows operating system.

You system probably supports IDE hard disks up to 200GB in size. It all depends on what chipset was used on your motherboard. Since it is a PIII system, the 200GB limit is most likely quite solid. Although, you can get past this by installing a PCI card that can handle larger capacity drives. You could also opt for using a SATA controller, but you will be limited to SATA-150 instead of the more current SATA-300 with a PCI interface.

Your harddisk has some bed sectors.
U have to go to delete all partrition then turn off the computer then again boot withwinxp disk
then create new partrtion then format ntfs quick
then it error not comes.

The problem may be caused because the driver file may be damages due to some reason. To get the sound back you need to run the motherboard cd and install the sound drivers "realtek".

Sir i have not heard any sound on my computer. my computer's motherboard name is PRESCOTT S33 and the number is (fw82801 eb),(f332nc51),(3l7gz),(Intel mc 02) which one of these no. of my board no. i do not know. but i still sure that u solve my problem earliar.
