What is code oL

Ol is rarely actually over loaded. Check the tub by pulling up on it. You should get a slight movement .The tub floats .if if doesn't the shaft and tub will need to be cleaned with sand paper. Also check for obstruction under the tub. Turn the tub by hand it should turn freely. Good luck.

How do you remove cabrio

Hi

To remove the front panel, there are hidden clips in between the front panel and the top. Use a putty knife in the corners of the crack and push the tabs. Then lift up on the top panel. Now reach in the dryer and remove the screws that hold the front panel on.

Please get back to us if you have further query else please accept the suggestion. Thank you for contacting fixya.com

My cabrio washer WTW6200sw3 is

Hi

In 2 ½ years a tub can leak, this is not a great observation by that tech. I mean its not too old that the tub will go bad. The issue seems to be with the drain pump going bad and so the washer is making a sound while in spin cycle because that is the time when it drains. If you are sure that he has checked it completely and he is right then this part (tub assembly) is covered under 5-7yrs of manufacturers warranty and you should contact whirlpool so that they can replace it for you at no cost. Hope this helps...please post back for further assistance.

Whirpool wtw6700 top load washer

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
Check its balance first.
It is necessary to ensure absolutely that the machine has all 4 feet very firmly on the floor, and I mean firmly ;-0)
Doesn't matter whether it is empty or not but switch it off then-
very firmly push one front corner diagonally into the centre of the machine and see if the machine moves or rocks AT ALL, even the slightest. If it does you will need the open-ended spanner which came with the (new) machine........which of course went missing a long time ago?!! An adjustable spanner will suffice.
Adjust the foot under that corner downwards until it is very firmly- almost pushing- against the floor but not so far that the corner lifts up!
If this corner did not rock do the same to the other.
Once you cannot rock the machine the slightest little bit, screw the locking nuts up tight to the underside of the machine so that they will not move. Ideally the rear feet should also be locked.

(If this has not cured the problem it is possible that the internal suspension is malfunctioning.)

If this has assisted you please consider a 4 thumbs up for the rating.
Thanks and good luck!

Top loading washer (wtw6200sw3) has

Hello,

Welcome to FixYa.

I'm pretty sure I know what you're referring to and in fact I can explain what needs to be done to gain access and repair though it is pretty involved (via removing the tub...it's pretty easy once you see how).

It is most likely the seal under the inner basket (spin basket) and it is a non-serviceable part outside of replacing the complete outer tub assembly as shown here...
i.e. macmarkus_457.jpg I can guide you step by step on "how to" both access this and repair it, or I can send you a complete service manual for your washer, it's up to you. Whatever you think will best serve you. You will need to provide an email address I can attach the "pdf" service manual to if you decide you indeed want it. I'll watch for your post and we can go from there. Thank's for visiting FixYa today. Good luck.

Regards,

Macmarkus :)

Am getting a F51 error

The electronic control displays an F51 code.
There is an intermittent connection at the Rotor Position Sensor, (RPS), causing the electronic control to indicate an F51 code.
Remove and reinstall the connector at the RPS at least three times to clean off any corrosion built up on the connector and RPS due to the intermittent connection. Confirm that the connector is fully seated onto the RPS control upon final connection and verify there are no damaged wires.
If you still receive the error after this, replace the electronic control with part #W10130544. This new control is designed to check the RPS sensor differently and is less sensitive to intermittent RPS connections.

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. Ld error code flashes when the water level does not change after the drain pump is on. To start with check the drain hose and/or drain pump from any clogs or blockages. If still the issue is not resolved and the pump seems to be fine then you have to check the motor again. Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.

Clothes do not dry in the time they should and

Try cleaning out the lint filter and if that isn't it, check the hose that goes from the back of the machine to a vent outside. Be sure the outside vent isn't blocked by anything. It could be blocked by something in front of it or something "living" in it. There could also be a blockage of lint . This could require the removal of the outside vent and actually checking it for blockage. Any further questions and you can ask me via email at dw6_edwrds at yahoo dot com.

Error code F51

Hi there,

Well, the code means a rotor position sensor error. The first thing you want to do is see if the basket turns freely by hand. I had one the other day where a dish towel was caught between the basket and tub giving the error. You will have to open the top by using a putty knife and pushing in on the clips on each side. They are strong clips so you have to use some force. The whole top will lift up. Next you will have to remove the tub ring. It just snaps off. If you don't find anything between them, then I would suspect the rotor sensor itself. At the factory they sprayed a protective coating on them and sometimes this causes the problem. You would have to tip the washer back. The motor cover comes off witha allen head, just pulls down. Now there is 4 screws that hold the motor in place. Once you drop them, the plastic cover protector will come down along with the motor so observe carefully where it mounts back up. The motor connector will be the 3 pronged harness on the right side of the motor. The rotor position sensor will be on the left. Snap the position sensor in and out about 8 or 9 times to get the coating off. If this doesn't work, and you keep getting the error, you will have to order the position sensor.

Good Luck!!

Thanks

So I'm asking you what

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa and I am sorry to hear whatever happened. Error
F 51 flashes when there is a motor rotor position sensor (RPS) failure. With that being said it seems that this issue should have been checked earlier itself by the two tech. guys that came to your house. Please follow the step by step instructions to resolve this issue: This test checks the wiring to the motor and rotor position sensor; and the motor and rotor position sensor themselves. NOTE: Drain water from tub.

1. See Activation of Manual Diagnostic Test Mode, and check the motor and electrical connections by performing the Agitate and Spin tests under Manual: Motor. The following steps assumes that this step failed.
2. Unplug washer or disconnect power.
3. Check to see if basket will turn freely. If basket turns freely, go to step 4. If basket does not turn freely, determine what is causing the mechanical friction or lock up.
4. Remove the console to access the machine/ motor control assembly.
5. Visually check that the P5 and P10 connectors are inserted all the way into the machine/motor control. If visual checks pass, go to step 6. If visual checks fail, reconnect P5 and P10 and repeat step 1.
6. With an ohmmeter, check for 16 ohms resistance at the P5 connector between pins P5-1 and P5-2, and also between pins P5-1 and P5-3. Also measure the resistance at the P10 connector between pins P10-1 and P10-7 and verify that the resistance is within the range. If the resistance is correct, go to step 11. If the P5 connector resistance is much higher than 16 ohms, or the P10 connector resistance is out of range, go to step 7.
7. Tilt machine forward to access the bottom of the machine and the drive motor area. Remove the motor bolt, then the motor cover to access the motor connections.
8. Visually check the mounting bracket and electrical connections to the motor and rotor position sensor board. If visual check passes, go to step 9. If visual check fails, reconnect the electrical connections, reassemble stator and motor cover and repeat step 1. With an ohmmeter, check for continuity between all pins on the P10 machine/motor control connector and the motor rotor position sensor (RPS) connector. If there is continuity, go to step 11. If there is no continuity, replace the lower machine harness.
10. With an ohmmeter, check for continuity between all pins on the P5 machine/motor control connector and the drive motor connector. If there is continuity, replace the drive motor. If there is no continuity, replace the lower machine harness.
11. The drive motor and lower harness are good. Replace the motor RPS board and perform the Diagnostics test in step 1 to verify repair.
12. If the Diagnostics motor test in step 1 failed, then the machine/motor control has failed: Unplug the washer or disconnect power. Replace the machine/motor control assembly. Perform the Motor Diagnostics in step 1 to verify repair.

Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or else revert for further assistance.

Thanks
Rylee

Foul odor when I start a load of laundry

Obviously this problem exists on this manufactured machine (Cabrio). It has to do with the design of the machine and the HE detergent required to be used. We are on city water and the smell is sewage gas. Hence, do your whites last with lots of Clorox/bleach, cause the detergent isn't strong enoug to kill the bacteria growing in the pipes.
