There is a terrible odor coming from our dishwaher

There is one thing recommended directly from LG. Try running 1 cup of vinegar through the machine on a sanitize cycle. They said this may need to be done every couple weeks if problem persists. Hope this helps.

No water spraying in washer, and no error code

Either:

1. not enough water gets into the dishwasher. open the dishwasher 3-4 times during cycle, you should see some water at least once, if not - check water valve, water level float and water pressure.
2. the pump is clogged - there is water, the motor will run but no water is circulated. Check pump filters, check chopper and impeller.

Good luck,

Dishwasher will not run and

The thermistor is located between the terminals of the heater and comes as part of the heater assembly. You will need to pull out the entire dishwasher to replace it. The heater assy is stuck into the side of the sump, you can access it from the bottom of the d/w once ou have it out. The only source of parts in the US I know of is LG in Huntsville AL.

A glass broke in my dishwasher and it soulds like

The front kick panel and the lid and the 2 side panels are required to be removed. Once off, the small motor drain pump motor) in the middle of the frame needs to be removed to access the impellar. Once off, you should see small pieces of glass. Remove and check in the area. Reinstall then remove main wash motor. Once off you will also see small shreds of glass. Remove and check in the area for more pieces. Reassemble base and test before the panels are all put back.(Be exact when reinstalling motors).

LE on display panel.

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa.Error LE indicates the control board has detected that the motor is either not turning, or has locked up for some reason. Monitoring the motor is the job of the Hall Effect sensor board which constantly determines the direction and speed of the motor and feeds that information back to the control board. If there is a problem between what the motor should be doing and what the hall effect sensor says the motor is doing, the 'LE' will be displayed and the cycle will be stopped. The hall sensor is rather easy to replace, and is covered by a seven year part warranty (in US). It only takes around half hour to replace it with a new one. Take the back cover off. Take the big nut off and remove the motor rotor. Remove the bolts holding the motor windings. Remove the electric plug on the sensor and unclip it from the motor winding. Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.

Thanks
Rylee

I once had gunk in the rotating sprayer itself that was blocking things...is the dispenser opening properly? I reckon a thorough cleanse with a dishwasher cleaning detergent (the one that takes a super wash to do it) and check the sprayers...no joke a chicken bone was in one of them!!

It seems that not enough water gets into the tub.

If the machine has stopped half way through due to switching off or power intruption this could happen.

So allow the machine to complete the cycle.
Do no worry running it empty.

It should become OK. If not you have to check the timer if mechanical one, or you have to replace the electronic micro controller programmed PCB.

The machine was working fine and now it wont turn

No easy solution. You need testing equipt. to test various points to where the power is or isnt. Typically, if you do have power at the socket, then the door panel in the front needs to come off. Test the door limit switch for continuity or if there is voltage present. After that a technician is required.(Suggestion is only if you have electrical knowlege.)

Poor drying, mold building up in the tub. The

Hi.

Poor drying is often caused by a faulty moisture sensor. If there is mold covering the sensor housing , that can be cause for the problem.

Regarding the door detergent drawer problem, that is often caused by a defective door latch switch, rather than by a defective timer board. If machine is cycling timer is OK.

Here schematics and parts breakdown.

The detergent drawer lock is tested reading Ohms between the contact at the door switch and the timer board. This will tell you if the circuit is open or closed.
Using the link above you can locate and purchase the replacement parts needed.

Dishwasher arms do not spin

It sounds like your wash motor has failed to run at full speed to pump the water through the spray arms. The computer board will eventually report an "LE" error code for the motor's issue.

The top two water water arms do not spin

These spray arm will only get water several times in the wash and rinse cycle. They do not turn at the same time the lower (bottom large spray arm under the bottom rack).
There is a chamber that diverts water either to the bottom sprayer or to the top sprayers, not to both at the same time.
If your top spray arms never get water, then there must be an issue with that chamber motor to divert the water. A new sump assembly that has all the new parts.
Good luck.

LE on the display panel

LE is a motor error.
Possible Causes: Wiring connections, Impeller is locked, Rotor is locked, and or the Blade is locked.
Remedy: Repair the wiring issue, Remove the item stopping the turning of the motor/rotor/blade, Replace the sump assembly, or Replace the main Power Control Board.
If your motor was making in knocking sound before this error, then your issue is probably the motor sump assembly. Just replace the sump assembly and your problem is resolved. You can get these from EBAY for about $105 with free shipping.
Good luck.
