What is the capacity (Size) of the Speed Queen Marathon Washer?

Pi,r,squared times height. Remember math back when we didn't have computers? So that's 3.14 x radius(half the distance across drum)squared(times itself) times height or depth of drum. Remember to do radius times itself first, then Pi, then height.

Washer was running normally.

The best way to check if a capacitor is OK is to get an electronic tester. Motors don't usually go bad. It is the toughest component in machines. Im 90% sure that its the circuit board that is problematic. Just get yourself a tester and test the capacitors. if you don't know how to test. ask for an electrician to test the circuit for you. Have a nice day..

I'm sure you have already bought a new washer BUT......

The repair isn't as hard as you are lead to believe.

First I would check for leakage from the pump.
This is the Most common reason for water under the machine
The pump is a fairly straight forward repair that is a little different on each model of washer, but is usually easy to figure out.

If it is the seal/bearing then that is a more involved repair but not impossible for the average person who is mechanically inclined.
.

The front panel must come off, the the top panel, which is held by two screws in the corner. Lift the top back and disconnect the tub inlet hose. Push it out of the way. I wedge it into the top groove.
Pop off the water level switch hose on the back of the tub.
The tub module needs to come out. It is held upright by several springs. The number varies with the year.
A ready made spring hook can be found by removing and using one of the front springs. I use the one in the front to the left. It's the easiest. It's easier to catch the springs if you hold your hook facing up.
Disconnect the motor harness, leaving the capacitor attached to the harness. Pull it through the frame and out of the way.
Dis-connect the drain hose. there will be water in it so be prepared with towels. Place an old towel on the floor. Now lift the tub module up and out, setting it on the towel. This will keep grease. etc off the floor.
The tub top clips on. Gently pull the tabs out and lift two at a time, just until you break the seal, no more, till you have all of them loose.Remove and put aside. Take out the 4 tub bolts. Don't worry if you break them, the new kit comes with new bolts. The tub is usually stuck to the hub. Put a foot inside the tub and stomp down on one side. It will pop loose. Put tub aside after cleaning old gasket from bottom.
SPECIAL TOOL; you with need a 1 1/2" socket of shrt handled wrench to remove the large nut.
Once it is off there is a nylon lock unit in the grooves with the threads that looks like a crown, cut a slice in it and pull it off. There is a new one supplied.
Remove the hub. Sometimes a puller is needed, don't damage the shaft or threads.
Turn module over.
Remove the 6 bolts around the outside of the tub, the motor bolts on some models and the two holding the counter-balance to the tub.
Lift off the transmission assembly as a unit.
The seal kit has the instructions for your particular model.
If the bearing is a separate 3-bolt unit, replace it as well.
Never leave a bearing that has gotten wet from a leaking seal, or you WILL end up doing the job again in a few months because of a $15 bearing that should have been replaced the first time.
Re-assemble the washer in reverse order.
Spray WD-40, or other lube, on the cork gasket between the tub and hub before installing tub.
Don't forget the nylon lock unit.
If the pump looks like it has been leaking At All, Replace it Now.
When installing the springs, do the back ones first. Hold the hook facing down this time. Install the one you used for a tool last and in the front left side.
Let the washer set for an hour before use, or as directed in the seal instructions. The first cycle should be hot water, without a load .

Water runnning out from bottom of washing machine

Barbarahaps,
I had a similiar problem with a Brand X washer. the problem may be your water pump. if so, it is an easy fix for someone who is mechanically inclined. you first must see where the water is leaking from. when i did this, i securly placed my washer on cinder blocks so that i could see underneath it, and let it fill with a little bit of water, then i could clearly see the water leaking out of the water pump. the key concern here is safety, make sure that the machine fills with only a little bit of water, and then cut the power off to the machine to ensure it doesn't start going through its cycle while up on the blocks, creating a potential hazard. If it is the waterpump, find a washer repair store, tell them the year and model machine you have, and get a water pump on order. the water pump is a pretty straight foward repair--you disconnect power from the machine, turn off and disconnect the water supply, disconnect the drain pipe, and tip over the washer to expose its under side. you disconnect the hoses going to the water pump, remove the attaching bolts, and install the new pump. then you hook everything back up and you should be good to go. hope this helps.

Speed queen wont spin or rinse

i would guess you have something blocking the pump. take off the hoses on the pump and see if there is a sock or something in the hose.
be aware that when you take the hoses off there will be water trying to get out, so have a bucket and towels ready. it is best if you can pinch off the hose first, but not everyone has a way to pinch the hose.

Draining water from inside through center.

The tub seal kit is $85 USD, You will also need a drive bell kit$23 USD, you should replace the upper bearing $?, for a complete rebuilt I would also replace the brake pads all three, and the belt, maybe the pump if it doesnt come off easily. Plus what you break taking it apart, so we are looking @ least $150.

Yes you can do it yourself, you dont need the tub wrench if you can borrow a deep socket, its the drive bell seal tool you really need.

Please let me know if you have additional questions. the serial number will tell you the age first two digits are year next two are month, starts with and R, built in Ripon WI.

Speed Queen AWM 373 w3062w

I would start by checking the lid switch, you should hear a click when you open and close the lid. If this is ok we will move on to the timer.

The main power comes thru the timer when you pull out the timer knob the main power is fed to the machine. if you try and start the wash cycle multiple times will it occasionally work and then not. It so replace the timer. the p/n is on the back, it will be an RSPC number, typically 5 or 6 digits.

Then go to Partselect.com or repairclinic.com or a local parts house since you have an Export model for the Asian area I believe you may need to find someone local. The price on one I would think about 85 USD.

Let me know if you have questions. I can tell you how old it is if you send the serial number. Your choice.

Water running out from under the washer

sounds like two seperate problems. firsst water running from under your machine might be a bad seal, or water could be backing up the drain line. i would guess that it is a plumbing problem because of theissue with water in the sink. have a plumber snake out the drain lines and the problem with the washer should disappear.
