This means that your radio frequencies may be setup for a different part of the world to where you actually live...and so it requuires changing


If you have a MENU button on your radio , see if you can find this Area choice option.

Once found , then it is just a matter of switching to the area required ( In your case UK/EUROPE)

if you turned it on without speakers hooked to it you may have blown the speaker output amps or if the end of the amp remote wire touched a ground you may have burned a trace on the board did you here it play at the pawn shop? or did it just light up? sometimes the people at the pawn shop think if the unit lights up it is working and sometimes they check them is just hook power to them without speakers if so this can blow the speaker output I would take it back to the pawn shop

The code is the anti theft device that you will need to get the machine to work again. It would have come in the box when you bought it or be in the operators instructions book that came with the machine. Other than that contact the maker and see if he can help. You may need proof of purchase. model no, etc to get the info.

Depending on your vehicle, some vehicles earth when you:1. screw the receiver into the dash (i.e. receiver body makes contact with a metal bracket in behind the dash).2. screw with BLACK wire to an earth point (i.e. metal bracket behind the dash).

Strongly recommend you buy a "snap on" Dodge - Kenwood adapter loom, from your local Auto Accessory store. This will save you cutting any wires, as these adapters are already pre-wired for plug and play and you can put your old radio back in at any stage.

If you need the amplifier remote turn on, it is blue/white. If you need the power antenna remote turn on, it is blue.

Problem is with the source selector if the cd inside is scrachy or is not running propey due to any reason system is programed to switch to next source try to clean the inside of the system through air pressure from some external source

when its on standby hold the menu button and then use the right nob to change aux on then press menu again and src untill aux shows. hope this helps

Try selecting aux with the SRC button.

First, if you can, check your speakers and speaker wires for shorts and/or grounds. If they check out fine, press the reset switch, it should be a small indentation about the size of a pencil tip and will not be marked. If that doesn't work, you may have a bad output ic.
