Gemini XL-400II Turntable - Answered Questions & Fixed issues
One of my turntables is spinning out of control,
Sounds like the motor control circuitry has a fault, beyond the effects of maintenance adjustments. Quite often, a transistor and perhaps other active electronic components are used to provide a stable calibrated voltage that drives the platter motor. If one of these components fails, the drive motor can be fed the larger unregulated supply voltage; hence, the out of control platter speed. This can happen to belt drive or direct drive turntables. Not so with the old rim drive units. Unless you have technical experience in this area, you should have a stereo type tech look at it. I'd avoid the high end audiophile type repair services. Shop around for an old school regular tech, and the repair should be relatively inexpensive. FYI, I've seen these hi end shops charge $50 or $60 for a turntable belt that should only cost around $20. If you feel the repair estimate is too much, you can find good used turntables at some stereo stores, or even at some thrift shops for a fraction of replacement cost. Depends on your standards.
When i record an album
Perhaps this could be because all the tracks are not loaded on the iTunes main list, registered by the software. Try first playing them on iTunes and then dropping them on a list.
How to adjust VTA ongemini 500
This is not an audiophile turntable. There is no provision for adjusting the vertical tracking angle.
The closest you can come to making an adjustment is to place shims between the phono cartridge and the headshell.

I have two Gemini XL
Is there something 'special' about them? Power cords are common. Take one to an electrical supply store, radio Shack or just look around the house for an unused one.

Look in your control panel on your computer and check the sound settings. For instance I have Sound Max on my PC and the imputs have to be set on to listen to different sound sources. Also there are level controls on it that can be set to zero.

Hi! Please open the volume control icon located on the lower right of the screen and check out the auxillary. Mostly they are muted so you will need to turn them on. Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa!

Frequenty of the receiver, same as the handheld
Gain adjustment in the handheld.
Gain on the receiver.
Check on the receiver if there's any RX when you switch on the handheld.
Good luck,

The right channel has failed and I am looking for
As far as I know, Gemini does not release schematics outside of their authorized service centers. If only one channel is out, you shouldbe able to A/B the two to find the problem components. If the side is completely blown, the most likely problem is the output transistors. Start with those and work back. If you need further details on the method, update this with any questions.
