Hi there,Sometimes, car owners inadvertently clean the displays with harsh chemicals, which can react with the facia plastic.The only method I can think of in this case, would be to try a light abrasive plastic polish such as Meguiar's Plastix or similar. These creams are designed to remove light scratches on plastics (such as headlight lenses etc), but in your case, we are trying to polish the display back to a satisfactory optical finish.Good luck.

Unless you turned it off, Kenwood radios automatically have the loud turned on when the radio is first powered up.

Speaker wires are shorted somewhere.

The blinking red light is to let thieves know the face is not on the radio and is not worth stealing. the blinking red light doesn't draw enough power to drain your battery.
