I recently purchased a laptop and went to install my webcam and realized I don't have the install disk for it anymore and need the driver. The problem is, I have no idea what kind of webcam it is, other than I got it free from acuvue (contact lens company) through a promotional seminar. If anyone has any advice it would be greatly appreciated.

hi, whenever i turn on my webcam, whether its the first time after i restarted my computer, or the second time after it's worked once, it randomly, yet frequently will say on the quickcam screen that my webcam (logitech quickcam communicate MP) is in use by another application. I try to reconnect but it just wont work. this happens very often and i dont know what to do. also, when it does work on it's own, it won't always turn on when i use skype; it will say the same error has occured, in which case i'll have to restart my computer and try again, but without any assurances it will work. what can i do to fix these problems? and what can i do so that i dont always have to restart my computer between camera uses?

I am using skype to talk to someone over in Iraq and while talking to him, within a minute my end of the webcam turns green. I went under options and video settingg and the webcam is found and viewed fine. It is also a brand new Logitech webcam (Logitech QuickCam for Notebook Deluxe)- How can I fix the green screen so the other person can see me?
See section A. Skype in the info below to setup the Audio & Video.
Also send this to your family and friends so they have their computer setup properly.

Then click on the Video Settings.
The camera, if Installed Properly, it will come up and show a video picture.
Then, on the bottom of the page click save.
The camera and audio should function properly. Your friends and Family will now be able to see and hear you.
