Philips 60PP9200D went black and white.
Hi , it seems you are experimenting a light engine problem. Here's how your tv works: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZLLHnQ4y-wo Basically there's 3 LCD chips that create the colors and image by blending together. When these chips start to melt you will get those blue spots, pixelation ,black and white picture, even vertical lines. You will need to replace the light engine. Have a blessed one!

Turns itself off
There can be several causes for this, few of which you can do anything about. However, a few things to try:
1) Replace the batteries on your remote control.
2) Try resetting the logic functions on your tv by unplugging it for a minute, then plugging it back in.
3) Try covering up the infra-red receptor on the front of your TV to see if you're getting unwanted signals from the receptor. taping a piece of foil over that area is perfect. If it doesn't stop after doing these two things you'll probably need to take it to a shop.
4) If this does stop it, then look for unexpected signal sources. Have you added a remote control extender? Added a new device to your audio-video system? Changed to a new remote?
I hope this helps. Joe

Green color is like a arc how to fix it
There is a problem with one or possibly both of your convergence amplifier IC's. They both handle some of the green convergence. It should not be extremely costly to have repaired. Do have a technician check it out. Convergence adjustments are tricky. Thanks for using fixya.

I have a pHILLIPS 46 INCH PROJECTON tv. tHERE
If the convergence is OK in this area of the screen, msot likely there is a problem with the coolant fluid in the blue tube. Somtimes the fluid starts breaking down and gets cloudy or a bubble has developed in the fluid. Look down through the blue lens from the back while the set is playing and see if you can see the problem. Could also be something on the lens itself. Clean it with ammonia free glass cleaner. Thanks for using fixya.

Philips Projection 60PP90200D/37 NO PIC NO SND 6X/1QF
I had the same problem. It is error code 61 which is a power supply fault. Had a bad LSB board (pn: 313926719011 from MCM Electronics) which blew out on of my CRT. If you have any observed arcing in your CRT's, they are bad and will need to be replaced. I went to Ebay and found a used compatible Philips brand to replaced the CRT. Do not isolate the high voltage lines of the bad CRT to troubleshoot with a bad LSB. The LSB will short out another CRT (it did on mine). I bought the service manual an learned the set does not tolerant of power line surges. If you fix it, invest is a good surge protector.

Green led flashing 6 times
a couple of questions? Do you hear a high pitched whine or squeel from the set? Have the convergence IC's in this set ever been replaced? Usually these sets do not have a blinking error code---?

How do I take the front screen off to clean the
First: do not take front screen off for cleaning--easy way is to remove entire black plastic shroud (you look at back of set and you will see 2 silver pegs near top edge) This set uses torks type screws---you need to remove several and the entire upper plastic in back comes off. The mirror is suspended separate from this. With the shroud removed you can clean the lens of the 3 picture tubes or any debris on the inside of the screen----do not use glass cleaner on the screen; but if you have smudges or bugs on the inside just use a very fine soft cloth(you may need to moisten it slightly) Any mark you make will show! If you find you have spider webs use a swiffer type duster to remove them.
I do this here for free so if this was helpful give me a vote here. If you have questions or need help let me know.
