Once the unit has been turned on the display will show ' CODE - - - -'

Press preset [ 1 ] repeatedly for the first digit
Press preset [ 2 ] repeatedly for the second digit
Press preset [ 3 ] repeatedly for the third digit
Press preset [ 4 ] repeatedly for the third digit
 
To save the code press the [ 5 ] key to accept.

The set should now operate.

I'd disconnect it from the car, meaning any power plugs, and wait about 5 minutes to make sure all power has left, and plug it in again. Also, check the front, back, every side of the receiver for a reset button/hole.

First make sure that the code has not been noted somewhere within the car (underneath the ash tray, glove box , rear of sun visor etc) 

To see if your code is available here for free then the radio will have to be removed from the dashboard (and if you are lucky, someone may have written the code on the casing ) .

If not then POST ANOTHER QUESTION

note: Unfortunately not all radios can be decoded using the Serial Number 

If not then try your Main Dealer ...........or take it into a Decode Service who will plug in a laptop to read/recode the memory chip (EEPROM). This takes a few minutes and shouldn`t be too expensive 

go to auto zone .com and you can get wiring diagrams for any part of your vehicle

I would first check to see if eye is not scratched or dirty and clean it if nesassary..
If you unplug the unit for a few minutes it should reset it's self.ok
and good luck on the drive i am a retired navy vet and know what you are going thru with the move.

Check your jacks you could have a bad jack.

your best bet is to go onto www.the12volt.com and find the tab at the top that says subwoofer wiring diagrams. Next go to google and search for audiovox subwoofers and search through. You will definately have no issue if you find the model it will tell you the impedence of the subwoofer. 2 ohm dual voice coil, 4 ohm dual voice coil, 8 ohm dual voice coil. anyway it is a dual voice coil

Maybe somebody hooked it up to the wrong wire behind the head unit-try disconnecting the remote lead from the deck to whatever its plugged into-remote leads are generally solid blue in color-i always run mine to the fusebox and it shuts off when the car is off and comes on when the car is on-same thing just different location-anyhow check that out and see if that has any bearing on your problem-good luck

try grounding the pink wire

Sound like the unit is faulty. Give us more details on the problem.

this sounds like an open door or a light switch turned on for inside lights. check the hood also

what model is the audiovox alarm system? If the alarm is not remote start ready, then you will need to install another alarm system or a stand-alone remote start system.
