You need to adjust the brake mechanism. It sounds like it needs to be tighter. Also, check to make sure the platter is on correctly.

How to adjust VTA ongemini 500
This is not an audiophile turntable. There is no provision for adjusting the vertical tracking angle.
The closest you can come to making an adjustment is to place shims between the phono cartridge and the headshell.

I have two Gemini XL
Is there something 'special' about them? Power cords are common. Take one to an electrical supply store, radio Shack or just look around the house for an unused one.

Look in your control panel on your computer and check the sound settings. For instance I have Sound Max on my PC and the imputs have to be set on to listen to different sound sources. Also there are level controls on it that can be set to zero.

Hi,
It's depending on the brand you're using.
But for general you have to check your;
Battery
Frequenty of the handheld, same as reciever
Frequenty of the receiver, same as the handheld
Gain adjustment in the handheld.
Gain on the receiver.
Check on the receiver if there's any RX when you switch on the handheld.
Good luck,

The right channel has failed and I am looking for
As far as I know, Gemini does not release schematics outside of their authorized service centers. If only one channel is out, you shouldbe able to A/B the two to find the problem components. If the side is completely blown, the most likely problem is the output transistors. Start with those and work back. If you need further details on the method, update this with any questions.

PROBLEM WITH MY GEMINI CDJ 02
Hi there,
just read about your issue with the gemini's 02, have had the same ones since december 06, and have had the same problems as you, mainly my 'play' buttons that broke down into the machine.
The first time I had it repaird by the shop I bought them at, after that had several times where the paly button broke into the machine. What I do now is to open the player by unscrewing the screws and it 'tape' the button where it should be.
The tricky thing is that when opening the player, there's like a sound card on top of the buttons, so you need to get that tape in between the card and the button, I learned to do this with a tweaser;
Having said that, I will also tell you that I've had it with this gemini hassle and that I will move to pioneer soon;
Good luck!
O.
