I need a remote control for my Sherwood rd 7103 where can I get one. ?

You should be able to use a universal remote that you can purchase at any store with a decent electronics department. You can also try online.

Connecting Samsung TV to Sherwood Newcastle R 865 Receiver using optic cable.

The problem might lie with the TV itself. The optical input might be switched off. You can check if the signal is coming out of the TV. With the optical lead plugged into the TV and the TV on. But not plugged into the Amp. You should see a red light come out of the unconnected end. If you don't see that the socket is switched off at the TV end. It might come under sound in the menu, or options, or digital audio output. Or a combination leading to the other! If you see an option for Dolby Digital, set that to on as well. Some HD TV channels use Dolby, but others don't. It will only come on with certain films and TV shows though, it should switch your receiver to the Dolby setting, just like DVD and Blue Ray discs do.

Can I program a universal remote control to operate my Sherwood Receiver, model rx-4103? I've lost my remote control to the unit.

Yes but you will more than likely have basic control. Unless you get a custom programmable remote. Depends on how much you want to spend. I'm sure Amazon or Ebay will have the factory remote.

I have a Sherwood audio/video stereo receiver S-277OR CP. Why would it work but not put any sound out?

Check speaker selection switch. If set properly then perhaps the amplifiers are blown - check for fuses that may be open.

Sherwood RVD 6095rds Hi. After a short while of about 20 minutes. My speakers cuttout like they are losing connection. Next I hear some loud pops from the speakers. And it resets itself to standby.

Sounds like DC leakage....pre-drive and/or output transistors (or IC) becoming intermittent often pass DC voltages to the speakers. The "pops" you hear are these DC pulses being passed to the speakers and the "cutout" is the protection circuitry doing its job...protecting the speakers. Speakers want AC voltages...plus voltages moving the cone in one direction, and a negative voltage moving it in the opposite direction. DC voltages push the speaker cones in a single direction and hold it there until it fails. The bad news...it's repair shop time.

I have a Sherwood 4108 after a month it shuts off after a few seconds what is the problem?

There is a short either in the power supply or one of the output channels. Receiver is shutting down to further protect other components. Needs to be serviced. Check if the warranty is still valid since they usually last about one year
