I can tell you what you will have to do , if you can unsolder and solder components then i can help you fix the problem. but if you cannot do some electronic tests or procedures then it is going to be hard for you and me to get this problem fixed

No sound from my speakers
Check your Surround Settings (Make sure you are in Full surround and not 2 ch) as well as your Input Source Remember the Surround Speakers will not give you a Full Audio Output it will only give you "background noise"
Phone.in mode
what you have to do to is reset the whole system. in order to to that you have to press system setup while the receiver is off.then you press the symbole next to enter and then press enter.
Remote
there a multi functional remotes , they are tend to be cheaper than the original , but usualy a handymann store of the pioneer dealer can also order the original remote .. just viit them asmk for the price and if between 20 - 50 dollar for the orignal is usuallu ok over 80 dollar is too expensive , than look for a multifunctional remote from philips or logitech witch can replace most of your remotes at home
Overload
you to slow down the volume on the consloe and make sure no wires are touching the reciver.
Sound is flat
press the analg att button on your remote also the pioneer keeps individual tone setteings for each imput so just check you have none of the filters turned on
Pioneer model sx-315 shuts off
if you are hearing noises from inside the amp,then something is burning up. Your sense of smell may be a guide here too. I suggest taking the amp to a tech to repair it unless you have had some experience with repairing amps

How to reset a pioneer vsx 456 receiver
To reset your Pioneer VSX-456 receiver, you can try the following steps:
Turn off the receiver.
Press and hold the "Enter" button and the "On/Standby" button simultaneously until "Reset" and "No" appears on your display.
Use the "Preset" arrow buttons to make the display say "Reset" and "Yes" .
Press the "Enter" button on the front panel to confirm .
If this does not work, you can also try unplugging all external devices before beginning the system reset. Switch the receiver into standby mode by holding down "Band" and then pressing and holding the "Standby/On" button for about two seconds. When you see "Reset?" on the display, press the "Preset" arrow buttons to make it say "Yes." Finally, press the "Enter" button on the front panel to confirm .
